About the home

The apartment is 1300 sq ft on the 2nd Floor of the Complex. There are sea views from the terrace, morning sun shines on the kitchen terrace, and evening sun on the large main terrace from midday to sunset.The apartment sleeps up to 6 people in three bedrooms - one double and two twin rooms. Marked out parking is underneath each block.

This 4star complex has been developed by Oceanico and is now managed by CDB Resorts. There is a 24 hour reception. The Leisure facilities include 3 Swimmimg Pools including an indoor heated Pool, a Health and Beauty Centre, a Jacuzzi, Sauna and fully fitted Gym and Tennis Courts and multi-sport pitch.
The HUgo Beaty Cafe Bar serves great food and has live TV coverage of major Uk and Irish sporting events and also has live enterainment on selected nights.
The facilities are very much like a luxury hotel with the freedom of an apartment.

The apartment is fully furnished and the cleaners come in before arrival and weekly during stay and also change towels and linen. Pool/beach towels are available at a small weekly charge.

The resort has an on site Management team and operates a 24 hour reception. Cots are available if required.

The gardens are fully landscaped and there are ample sunbeds and shades around the pool areas.

At night there are over 10 family friendly top class Portuguese, Asian and International restaurants to choose from. The historic town of Lagos with its cobbled streets and pedestrian squares is only 6km away .There are hundreds of bars and restaurants there to suit all tastes. Estrela da Luz is a modern holiday complex only 300 yards from the beach but in a very quiet area of the village. It has 2 poolside bars and the indoor Hugo Beatty bar which all serve food all day. There is a fully equipped gym and luxury health and beauty spa offering all types of treatments from facials to full body massages. In addition there is an indoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna. There are tennis and basketball courts adjacent and available to guests and a 24 hour reception.

Fly to Faro and take motorway A22.. Estrela da Luz is about 50 mins drive from the airport.

Ryanair and Aer Lingus fly from Dublin and Cork and Easyjet fly from most UK airports to Faro.

“The perfect spot for a relaxed holiday” I went here with my parents for a week and found it to be the perfect place to relax. There are plenty of really nice places to eat and go for a drink at night near Luz, or not too far in the bigger town of Lagos (about 15 minutes away in a taxi). The beach is really close by (about 10 minutes walk) with a gorgeous promenade with loads of seats for enjoying the views of the sea. My mam and I went for a walk down here every day, and there are lots of nice little shops and coffee shops along by the beach too. There are a selection of watersports that I'd love to try next time if I went again. They seemed to be at a fairly reasonable price (you could rent a kayak for an €10). The apartment itself is really comfortable and clean, with some lovely personal touches to the decoration. I cooked dinner in the apartment one night and everything was set up and easy to use, with a dishwasher and all to make life easier afterwards. We ate breakfasts out on the sunny balcony and having sky on the tv for when we were feeling particularly lazy was handy. The pub downstairs (Hugo Beaty) was handy for a drink after dinner if you don't want to go too far, and the staff are really lovely. The only thing I'd say is that it can be very quiet, so there isn't much of an atmosphere unfortunately. This might have been the time of year. But it was nice and handy at the same time! The outdoor pools are lovely and clean, with a separate one for adults, which is a nice idea if you want a quieter pool. The indoor pool is a better shape if you want to do laps! And there's a jacuzzi and sauna and all. We all went in to the treatment salon and got massages and I have to say, they were amazing. Incredibly reasonably priced and quite possibly the best massage I've ever had...So I'd highly recommend getting one of those! Overall, a great place to stay. I'd recommend it, and I'll most definitely be staying here again.
