Great local sites such as Obidos walled village and Peniche fishing port. Vineyards and amazing scenery everywhere you look. Also great surfing along the silver coast all year round including local Baleal (15 mins)
Tennis courts walking distance on site. Heated adult swimming pool behind apartment also kids pool. Kids playground on site , walking distance.
Restaurants on site at all price ranges from the Marriott Hotel, Golf club house (bar food and restaurant), beech lunch restaurant and a small very reasonably priced offer , just outside complex.
Many country walks on the door step, through local farmland and forests.

Easy, same day, drying on cloths horse on balcony. BBQ provided on balcony off living room. Children's and adult's swimming pool in shared garden at foot of building. Our apartment on second floor which is also the top floor. No noise disturbance. Playground 5 mins walk on site. 2 bathrooms. Wi-Fi available in local tennis club.

Security deposit to be given to Apartment Manager on arrival and collected on departure after checking nothing is broken. As laundry is charged by weight and this is a private apartment, we ask quests to put the bulk of towels in a wash the night before departure and hang out on kitchen balcony cloths horse.
The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region
The area is truly an unspoilt gem in the heartlands of Portugal, you can still drive for 15 minutes along the coast and find yourself a completely deserted stretch of beach or stroll through the many medieval and charming villages that abound. Everywhere you go you will find the people friendly and helpful. The Castled town of Obidos is still contained within its original city walls and is described by many of the travel guides as one of the most picturesque medieval towns in Europe.
Investment in modern roads has made the countryside and villages accessible, so you can enjoy the tranquility of the countryside or find watersports, golf, boating and hundreds of other leisure activities are all in easy reach.
Watersports can be enjoyed from the Peniche recreation centre, including scuba diving and fishing.
There are equestrian centres in Lourinha, Atouguia da Baleia and Rio Maior.

Outstanding beaches stretch all along the coast. Particularly beautiful is Ericera. Peniche nearby is convenient and worth a visit. Mafra and Cintra further a field provide a worth while day out in castles gardens and palaces.

Obidos:
Midway between the royal towns of Coimbra and Lisbon, the castle in Obidos was a regular stopover for the royalties. During one such stay, in 1282, the queen Dona Isabel fell completely in love with the whitewashed hilltop town inside medieval walls. Consequently the king, Don Dinis, gave it to her as a gift. Since then and up until the 19th century, every portugese queen got Obidos as a wedding gift.

Flights to Lisbon Airport. The best way to get there and see the area is to rent a car. It is 90 minutes from the airport by the motorway. Praia is clearly marked once you exit the motor way. When you are driving up a long avenue of Albas Trees you will get the gentle smell clearing your airways and are almost home. Enjoy. try car hire 3000 for best car rental value.

The apartment is on the top floor and is situated very close to the entrance of the Praia De'l Rey complex. As well as being very well furnished, the apartment had everthing we needed for a really comfortable stay and the 3 balconies were brilliant for sheltering or getting out in the sun, as appropriate. The owner reassuringly provided emergency contact numbers but these were not needed, as no problems were encountered. The swimming pool is just behind the apartment and was deserted most of the time. A really nice, clean and comfortable place to stay and a peaceful haven to return to after a day out exploring! We will be booking again as we ran out of time with so many places to see in the surrounding area. |

This was our third visit to this apartment and usual the apartment was immaculately presented. Beds very comfortable. Apartment stays cool even in the heat of August, hardly need to use ceiling fans. Would be good to have internet. |

Beautifully decorated apartment, well furnished and laid out. Located within walking distance of local shop. Reasonable sized pool for the number of apartments although more sunbeds needed around pool. Car needed to get to most restaurants in the area. Plenty of glasses and cutlery although a few more plates and serving dishes would be good. This is our second year at this property and wouldn't hesitate to go back. |
