About the home

A stylish villa located on the 5* Praia D'el Rey golf and beach resort.
This is an exclusive resort with top coastline golfing (voted best in Portugal) and sporting facilities on the well known Silver Coast only one hour from Lisbon by mainly motorway.

The villa is positioned five minutes from the beach and has views over the Atlantic particularly from the first floor terrace, it is centrally situated on the resort along a quiet roadway between the clubhouse and the 5-star Marriott hotel (offering spa and beauty facilities) both within close walking distance.

Accommodation comprises 4 large bedrooms (2 rooms can take 3 beds if required), 3 bedrooms have direct ensuites, open plan lounge/ dining area, shower /WC and kitchen providing a spacious feel and a large basement ideal for table tennis.

There is a heated pool with surrounding patio and gardens set within tall hedges for privacy. On-site car parking is available. Cycles are available for use. Garden furniture and a BBQ is provided.

There are many places of interests - e.g.the world heritage site of Obidos, there are an extensive number of beaches ideal for most water sports and/or relaxing with nearby bars and restaurants. Also there are quiet beaches ideal for walking along the Atlantic coast.

Use of a car is recommended however there is a good taxi service if required.

The interior is light and open plan with a spacious feel, there are leather sofas and footstool in the lounge, a large dining table and well fitted modern kitchen with marble worktop and peninsula hob.
All bathrooms are fully tiled with baths and showers. The floors are fully tiled throughout.
All windows have curtains and/or electric external blinds.
There is a large basement with table tennis, golf clubs, bikes, body boards, and tennis rackets.

Internet access is available. The whole resort has been provided with 3G wireless internet access. The USB port can be rented from the Resident Service office. Unlimited access rates are:

Praia D'el Rey is a 600 acre resort situated withing an area of protected natural beauty on the western coast of Portugal. This exclusive resort development, just one hour north of Lisbon, offers first class faciltities including an 18 hole championship golf course, considered one of the finest in Europe.

Praia D'el Rey 5 star Marriot Hotel has restaurants, shops, a bar, health club with gym and indoor and outdoor pools. Situated next to the golden sandy beaches, the clear waters of the Atlantic prove to be excellent for surfing.

The tennis centre, with a clubhouse and seven courts available to hire can be found near the resort entrance. The clubhouse has locker areas and bathrooms, a reception and a terrace with a spectator area suitable for up to 200 people to watch players on the main court.

Miguesl Moreira, the head coach, is available daily to help players with their game.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region

Costa de Prata knows as the Silver Coast has many historical places of interest combining mountainous landscapes with ocean views, sandy beaches and a myriad of rivers.

Places of interest include Coimbra which is the 'Oxford' of Portugal, plenty of Golf clubs, the thermal spas of Luso, Roman ruins, Neoclassical towns, Fatima (Portugal's answer to Lourdes) and the Bucaco Imperial Palace.

There are some stunning beaches and nature reserves - perfect for relaxing holiday.

Close to the resort lies the medieval town of Obidos. It's narrow cobbled streets, lined with whitewashed houses are surrounded by the town;s ring of medieval walls and crowned by the Moorish Castle. Local handicrafts can be bought in the small shops. This small town also boasts a large natural lagoon, suitable for sailing, windsurfing or jyst relaxing bu its tranquil waters.

Off the coast of Obidos, the Belenga Island, easily reached be boat, offer year round diving and deep sea dishing in the crystal clear waters.

Caldas de Rainha is famous for its spa, with its sulphurous pools. Positioned in an area rich in vineyards and orchards, the town has an open-air fruit market daily. Caldas da Rainha provides shopping faciltities, parks, gardens and world-renowned ceramics.

Praia D'el Rey Golf and Beach Resort lies just one hour norht of Lisbon via A8 motorway on the western coast of Portugal.

Close to the heritage town of Obidos, the resort is easily accessible and well signposted.

Also nearby is the fishing village of Peniche and Caldas Da Raihna town.
