The townhouse is decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard with all the comforts of home. It is a large and spacious house with plenty of storage, ideal for families, couples and golfers.
The living room’s patio doors open onto the large terrace which enjoys the sun all day. Enjoy the stunning views of the golf course whilst relaxing with a glass of wine or alfresco dining.
The property has two bedrooms but can comfortably sleep 6, extra beds/cots can be provided at a small extra cost. The master bedroom is very light and airy, a great place to relax with views of the golf course and the sea beyond.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region
The glorious unspoilt silver sand beach that stretches for miles is a 5 minute walk and offers fantastic walks along the dunes and coastline. The beach always appears and feels un-crowded.
Serra D’El Rei and Obidos Lagoon are a 5 min drive. Obidos (historic castle town) and Peniche (Fishing Village) are 10km away. Baleal (Surf, beach) 7km. Foz Da Arello (Beach Resort) 20km, Caldas de Rainha (city with shopping) is 30 min away, World Heritage town Sintra, Fatima and Estoril approx 50km/1hr away. 10-30km to wine caves and vineyards of the region. Berlenga Islands (Nature reserve) are a 40 min boat ride from Peniche. There are ten 18-hole quality golf courses within an hours drive.
Praia D'el Rey Golf and Country Club area
Operators (IAGTO) as European Golf Resort 2007. Also by ‘Golf World’ as the 13th Best in Europe, and Gold Award winner for Best golf development by ‘Homes Overseas’. The course is a mixture of links and mature woodland, and the views constantly changing. Golf can be booked direct through the PDR Pro Shop or (more reasonably) using internet-based booking services.
British golf pro's are available for lessons and the practice facilities are outstanding with short and long game areas, and several putting greens. There are other excellent golf courses along the Atlantic coastline and inland from Praia D’el Rey within a short drive to add variety.
Conditions are exceptional throughout the year. Full hire services at the clubhouse pro shop. The clubhouse also has a bar/restaurant. Please be aware that the pro shop may ask for handicap certificates.
How to get there
Praia Del Rey is a 50 min drive from Lisbon Airport. Lisbon flights available, Monarch, TAP from Gatwick, BA, TAP from Heathrow, Easyjet from Stansted/Luton/Bristol/Liverpool and Thomson from Manchester. Porto Airport is a 2½-hour drive.
Car hire is advisable to get around the resort and its beautiful surroundings. There are shuttle buses on the resort in high season running the whole length of Praia D’El Rey. Local Taxi contact numbers are provided. Full directions are provided for bookings.

There is a small convenience store on the resort and a larger supermarket in the village of Serra D'El Rei and several much larger supermarkets in Peniche, Obidos and Caldas da Rainha where the range is good and the wine and beer are cheap. Caldas de Rainha has a daily market for fresh fruit, vegetables, and other local produce. There are many good quality restaurants (from Portuguese to Gourmet Cuisine) in the surrounding areas, as well as many very inexpensive local style restaurants where fish is always top of the menu.
The wines of the region come highly recommended. Obidos has festivals throughout the year and many concerts are held in the grounds of the Castle and battlements. We have a full guide of the local amenities, restaurants and areas in the apartment. Further assistance can be obtained through our local representative if you have any problems or queries. There is a cash machine at the clubhouse and a further one within the Marriott hotel and there are banks in all the nearby towns.
Conditions
£100 deposit required when booking, balance paid 6 weeks before holiday. Our normal check in time is 3pm on day of arrival and check out time is 10am on day of departure.
A free welcome pack is provided for bookings of 7 days or more.
To reach the property it is necessary to climb 3 flights of steps and therefore may not be suitable for people with mobility problems.

We rented this townhouse for the last two weeks of July and had a truly fantastic relaxing sun filled holiday. The house is furnished to a standard expected in a top quality hotel and is very spacious. We had two couples and an infant in our group and not once did we feel on top of each other. With two bathrooms upstairs each couple had their own and the downstairs toilet was very convenient as well given one of our group had a bad knee. We had the travel cot in with us in the main bedroom and could make as much noise downstairs as we liked and our daughter was never disturbed. The position of the town house right above the pool worked brilliantly for us as we could take it in turns to look after the baby in the house while the others were by the pool. The balcony gets sun from mid-morning to late evening so even while the baby was playing inside we could still relax in the sun on the balcony. The service is top drawer with cleaners coming in every couple of days and a lovely welcome pack of food and booze was supplied for our arrival! The beach is only a few minutes walk away and is absolutely stunning. The water is very cold but the beach was perfect for going on long walks and the pool was there for swimming on the way back. I played golf 3 times and thoroughly enjoyed the course. It was in perfect condition and the holes along the sea are very special. A great test of golf indeed. I lost all my golf balls that I brought with me so straight driving is recommended! There's a great driving range and tennis courts as well so plenty to keep everyone busy. We took day trips to Obidos, Fatima and the Obidos lagoon all of which are well worth a visit. Overall we had a splendid trip and most definitely will be back. Highly recommended!!!" MT August 2009
