The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast region
Portugals Western region is a land of green valleys set between the Montejunto mountains and the Atlantic ocean. Praia D'el Rey Golf and Country Club area
Although only a short drive from Lisbon this region remains unchanged in its traditions and with an unspoiled and breathtaking natural beauty. The medieval town of Obidos is the regions most beautiful and famous attraction built within fortified walls. Praia Del Rey Golf and Country Club nestles within a lush estate in pinewoods and undulating sand dunes, flanked on one side by a glorious 2 mile long sandy beach washed by the breathtaking Atlantic rollers. Just a five minute drive away, along a quiet costal route is the famous Obidos Lagoon, one of the great natural wonders of Portugal and the perfect leisure destination for those who want to relax in communion with nature or indulge in water sports. This part of the Atlantic coast is also world famous for its surfing. Baleal is only a few minutes drive away with excellent accessibility, with beach cafes and restaurants
How to get there
Fly to Lisbon from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Birmingham , Dublin or Manchester Full range of hire cars available at airport Cheap flights now available from BMI Baby, Monarch and Easyjet. Praia Del Rey is situated one hour north of Lisbon via convenient A8 Motorway
Alternatively why not sail overnight to Santander and spend two or more days driving down through northern Spain and Portugal
