About the home

Casa do Sol is a 4 bedroom luxury townhouse situated in a prime location on Praia del Rey. Within a 5 minute stroll from the property is the golf club house and the 5* Marriott hotel and Spa with it’s choice of bars and restaurants. Set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens with its typical Portuguese style architecture, the house overlooks the shared swimming pool and the 10th fairway from its private patio and terraces. The property has been stylishly renovated and offers 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large open plan living/dining room and well equipped kitchen, there is also a complimentary baby pack provided on request to ensure you have everything you need to make your stay with little ones safe and effortless. Aside from the first class golf facilities, the resort has a 7 court tennis centre, children’s playground and unspoilt sandy beaches.

A welcome pack will greet you on arrival. A complimentary baby/toddler pack is available on request; this includes a cot, highchair, potty, changing mat and stair gates. No smoking in the house, ashtrays provided on patio. Towels can be hired for £10 per person if required, to include a beach, bath and hand towel in the set.

A 20% deposit is required on confirmation of availability by email or phone. The outstanding balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure. If you cancel within the 8 weeks before departure or fail to pay the balance, you will forfeit your deposit and reservation. Once the balance has been settled, if you cancel your reservation up to 4 weeks before departure we will refund half the total amount. A £250 security deposit will be required during your stay, and refunded within a week of your departure if there are no damages.

The Costa de Prata/Silver Coast/Central Portugal region

Obidos, the medieval walled town with beautiful cobbled streets, ancient churches and a good selection of restaurants and craft shops is 15 mins by car. Peniche, the fishing port, with excellent seafood restaurants and boat trips to the nearby Berlanga Islands, a nature reserve, is also 15 mins away by car. Caldas Da Rainha 25 mins drive away, provides good shopping and a great open air market.

The Praia D'el Rey Golf and Country Club area

The resort itself offers a range of amenities, with restaurants and bars available for use at the 5* Marriott Hotel & Spa and Golf Club House. Leisure activities include a Tennis Academy with 7 courts, basketball, football and a children’s playground. Clube Adventura outdoor activity centre offers paint-balling, quad biking, orienteering, surfing and archery for older children. There is a small convenience store and an ATM on site. Outside of the resort are water sports at the nearby Obidos lagoon, cycling, horse riding, diving, karting, water slide park, deep sea fishing and cruises to the Berlenga Islands are just a few of the activities which will keep you busy during your stay. If a more relaxing holiday is your thing, the local area offers a good choice of site seeing, with 2 world heritage sites within a 1-hour drive. Aside from the craft shops and ancient churches, Obidos hosts a number of festivals throughout the year.

Praia del Rey is an easy 1 hour drive from Lisbon airport and about 2.5 hours from Porto. Easy Jet, British Airways, TAP Portuguese airways, BMI Baby and Monarch all operate to Lisbon and Ryan Air flies to Porto. Aer Lingus operate from Dublin to Lisbon also.
