Palm Bay has been awarded 3 stars by Quality in Tourism, it is only yards from the beach, you can hear the sea from the door. The nearby facilities are very good with a cafe, restaurant and pub just 2 minutes walk away all of which are very child friendly. Penzance and Helson are only a 15 minute drive away so you are very close to good amenities. There is also plenty of great places to visit in the surrounding area of Cornwall. You will certainly not be bored.
The property is a two bedroomed terraced bungalow, well equipped with everything you will need for a great self-catering holiday. Surfers and families alike love the place and it becomes very busy during the summer season. An Access Statement is available upon request in standard or large print.
There is a lifeguard on duty who keeps a close eye on the bathers and surfers keeping them to their own sections in the sea.

The West Country / Cornwall region
To the west side of the village is another small beach, Kennegy, which is accessible from the cliff path at low tide. Not far away is Marazion, St Michaels’ Mount, Helston (home of the furry dance), Penzance and picturesque St Ives with its surfing and Tate Gallery and Studios.
The National Maritime Museum is in Falmouth and there are many gardens to visit including the Eden Project.
Praa Sands area
Praa Sands is a coastal village between Helston and Penzance. Formerly serving the local mining industry, it is now predominantly a tourist-oriented area. Praa is the ancient Cornish word meaning "hag's" or "witch's cove".
Adjacent to the beach is former England and Yorkshire cricketer Chris Old's restaurant and fish and chip shop, a child friendly bar and great beach cafe as well as other more traditional retail outlets serving the holiday maker. Between the village and the main road there is Praa Sands Golf Club, a 9-hole links course, which welcomes non-members.
The village is also the site of a "haunted" castle, a small "keep" building that is in private hands; Pengersick Castle is also supposed to be one of the most haunted buildings in the UK, and holds regular ghost-hunting activities. A very important day of the year in the local area is 8th May, which is when the people of Helston all get together and perform the 'Furry Dance'.

Further details indoors: The property has two bedrooms, one double room with a door to the rear garden, a bunk bedded room with full size bunk beds and a double sofa bed in the lounge.
The property is well equipped and has been newly decorated and furnished. A travel cot and high chair is available.
The bathroom has a good sized bath with electric shower over, wc and vanity basin. There are electric heaters in all the rooms if needed. The kitchen has new appliances consisting of a full sized electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer.
The lounge/diner is open, light and spacious, there is a TV with freesat channels, video player (with a large selection of videos) DVD player and radio/cd player. Also there is a good selection of games, toys and books for your use during your stay.
Outside in the garden there is furniture and a BBQ. Palm Bay has it's own parking space.

There is a welcome pack in the bungalow and a selection of information leaflets on many of the nearby sights and attractions.
A member of staff is on hand if you should require any assistance during your stay, their telephone number can be found in the welcome pack.
Conditions
A 20% deposit is required when booking, the balance being due 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. If the booking is taken within the 6 weeks then the full amount is due immediately. A reminder will be sent when full payment is due.
The deposit and payment is non refundable and would therefore recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover for cancellation etc.
A £50 damages deposit will be added to the rental payment, this will be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure, by cheque, subject to a satisfactory property inspection.
