A romantic villa built around the remnants of an historic lime-kiln dating from the last century and from which it derives its name our beach villa Four-a-Chaux offers an excellent quality of accommodation equivalent to the best luxury villas in Mauritius and at budget prices. The ochre walls and sugar-cane thatch roofs confer an exceptional charm to the villa. Situated in Poste Lafayette our beach villa is 1 hour 15 minutes from the airport. The splendid mature tropical garden with its coconut and casuarinas trees covers 2,100 square metres and is totally fenced. The garden leads directly on to a beautiful and totally private beach.The small and safe lagoon is circled by a coral reef barrier which completes the security and intimacy of the area exclusive to a limited number of luxury beach villas.The lagoon is also very safe for young children. The bungalow which is built on the highest part of the property dominates the beach. All rooms open directly on the lagoon and the views on the beach and lagoon are truly superb. The breaking waves on the reef add to the magic.The surface area of our Four-a-Chaux is 275 square metres and offers 4 air-conditioned bedrooms. The villa accommodates 7 adults comfortably. Le Four-a-Chaux (Lime-Kiln) is an architect designed villa covering 275 square metres of living space and offering all amenities expected from luxury holiday beach accommodation in Mauritius.

Kitchen….built-in oven & built-in 4 burner gas stove, microwave, stainless steel cooking pots and pans, fridge, complete set of domestic appliances, granite working table-top.The kitchen communicates directly with the dining-room.
Dining-room…..table & chairs for 8, two side-boards, bar table on wheels, crockery & cutlery for 12.
The dining-room & lounge share the same room. Both open directly on the sea.
Lounge…..two couches, lounge table, side-tables, corner furniture, T.V…PARABOLE MAURITIUS satellite, home-theatre, lamps.
Summer veranda….rattan armchairs, dining table & chairs, lounge chairs.The summer veranda with its separation doors opened becomes one room with the winter veranda.
Winter veranda….rattan armchairs, game table.With the separation glassed doors closed the veranda is protected from the winter wind and still offers a direct view on the sea.
Both verandas open on the lagoon and confer a feeling of well- being in Mauritius in a luxury holiday villa.
Bed-room no. 1….with direct access to the sea-facing terrasse.
King size bed, bed-side tables & lamps, chair. One 125 year old ward-robe (family inheritance). Air conditioned.
Bed-room no. 2….
Two joinable single beds, bed-side table, antique ward-robe ( family inheritance ).The bed-room opens on the side-garden and on the sea. Air conditioned.

The Mauritius East Coast/Grand Port region
The East coast is neck laced by the most beautiful beaches of Mauritius. Driving along the coastal road is a pleasure. Many public beaches offering excellent and totally safe swimming are within easy reach.
The East coast is the home of luxury private beach bungalows and to the most famous 5-star hotels such as the Prince Maurice, the Saint-Geran, Touessrok and Belle Mare Plage Hotel to name only a few. Several 5-star golf courses are in the area including the world famous L'Ile Aux Cerfs Golf.
Poste Lafayette is a very exclusive area. There are few shops in the immediate vicinity and the nearest villages are a few kilometres away. Car rental is necessary to enjoy the glorious colours of the lagoons of the East and their pristine white sand beaches.

Our beach villa is situated on the east coast of Mauritius where pristine white beaches are the setting for a cluster of 5-Star Hotels and of luxury private villas.
The east coast presents the richest coastal scenery and offers the largest variety of wonderful public beaches.
Diving Centres are numerous and to be found operating from all the major hotels within 30 minutes drive from our beach villa. The most famous is at Belle Mare Plage Hotel.
World renowned 18-hole Golf Courses are also within less than 30 minutes away. The two most prestigious are The Links and L’ile Aux Cerfs.
Hiking, mountain-biking or quad-biking can be practiced in the Domaine de l'Etoile, the largest and most spectacular natural reserve of Mauritius.
L’ILE AUX CERFS, a popular day trip excursion is close by in TROU D’EAU DOUCE.
AUSTRAL SKY DIVE in MON LOISIR some 12 kilometres away invite you to an unforgettable tandem parachute dive.
Horse riding and tennis are to be enjoyed in the vicinity at the CLUB D’EQUITATION DU NORD in POUDRE D’OR also 12 kilometres away.
GRAND-BAY with all its tourist attractions is 30 minutes away by car and PORT-LOUIS is pretty much the same distance away.
RESTAURANTS....HOTEL LA MAISON D’ETE two minutes walk from the villa... HOTEL JALSA five minutes away by car... RESTAURANT CHEZ MANUEL renowned for its Chinese cuisine in St. JULIEN fifteen minutes by car.

It's realy Wild heaven if you want peace and relaxation with the beauty of the place and the elegance of the house with four rooms it is what you just need you will not be able to imagine the effort made by the owners what ever you are looking foryou will find it present somewhere in the house it is equipped with what you need and more Owners are very kind and cooperation and it is Just steps away from a small and beautiful hotel with a restaurant offers delicious cuisine and provides you with taxi if you need it our most Beautiful activities we knew about from the book prepare by the owners iwish i can go back there |

A stunning villa situated right on the beach, ideal for our two week stay in Mauritius. With a lovely lagoon and beach right outside the door, we enjoyed a relaxing holiday. The owners, Lindsay and Francoise, were extremely helpful both before and during our stay, and they even cooked dinner for us ready for our (late p.m.) arrival - most appreciated! Vimla and Brinda, the maid & cook, came in daily to clean the villa and cook lunch or dinner for us. We had great fun choosing the menus with them, and the local shopping expeditions to buy the ingredients! The villa itself was beautiful, and very comfortable and clean. During our holiday we enjoyed some golf, plenty of sightseeing, and just generally sunbathing on the beach and swimming/snorkelling/kayaking in the lagoon. Francoise dealt with a small problem quickly and efficiently for us, and all in all we had a fantastic holiday. Worth a visit is the restaurant just along the road; great food and reasonably priced. |

We spent 8 wonderful days at Four a Chaux Villa in August 2011. Accomodation was very comfortable with beautiful views of the beach and lagoon, which we swam and snorkelled in regularly.
