This charming apartment is 80 metres squared (approximately 860 square feet) and can sleep up to six people. It has a terrace with a view of Positano and, partly, of the sea. It is equipped with air conditioning and parking spaces for 2 mid-size cars.

There is a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with a shower, a living room with a sofa bed that sleeps two guests and a kitchen. You can access the terrace via the living room and the main entrance of the apartment.

The apartment is situated in the higher part of Positano, above the main road. It is on the ground floor of a characteristic building that is built on the rocky cliff. It is accessible by climbing 150 steps, overlooking the breath-taking sea views. Someone will be on hand to help your carry your luggage. Here you will have a splendid 180-degree view of the steep and verdant valley that holds the village of Positano at its bottom .

The main entrance leads you straight into the living area, which is made up of the living room and a fully furnished kitchen that is connected to the living room. The kitchen has four-burner cooker, oven, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle.

From the living room, you will be able to enter the corridor that connects the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The valley merges into the sea, and from the terrace of the apartment your eyes will be able to follow it in its length, all the way to the sea and to the point where the village becomes nestled. The terrace is furnished with an outdoor table and chairs and is partly shaded. Here you relax, soak up the beauty of Positano and enjoy your meals 'al fresco' overlooking the wonderful panorama.

There is a satellite television in the living room and the bedrooms are stylish and bright with sea views. The furnishings are pleasant and new and the floors are tiled with colourful local majolica tiles. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning/heating units.

From the property, you will be able to take the inexpensive, local bus every 40 minutes to reach to the centre of Positano in less than 10 minutes. The bus stop is only a few metres from the house and also connects you to Sorrento and to the other tourist spots along the coast. The closest restaurants, cafes and grocery store are 200 metres away. The Spiaggia Grande (main beach) of Positano can be reached from the centre of the village by walking along the characteristic alleys and steps.

Thanks to the dozens of excursions throughout the Lattari Mountains that start from here, this location is indeed a little paradise for walking lovers. The most popular walking trail is "Sentiero degli Dei" (Walk of the Gods). Particularly interesting and scenic is the part between the Grotta Biscotto and Nocelle, which is one of the best ways to get an amazing view of the entire Amalfi Coast.

The Campania region

With its 42 kilometre stretch of gently sloping coastline and white pebbled-beaches, the Amalfi Coast is an 'earthly paradise' with breathtaking beauty.

AMALFI COAST: One of Italy's most spectacular coastlines begins after Sorrento, runs through Positano and continues until it reaches Amalfi. Looking along the tall cliffs and down into the sapphire sea, takes your breath away.

CAPRI: Capri offers panormamic vistas at every turn, picturesque eateries with local seafood and blue grottos hidden under the limestone cliffs. A trip to Capri is ideal for a one-day excursion from Sorrento with the hydrofoil. Capri is, unquestionably, the holiday princess of the Italian islands: idyllic and rugged with its shimmering Blue Grotto and cliffs that descend down into the sea. Capri has trendy jewellery shops and designer boutiques.

POMPEII & VESUVIUS: Pompeii is one of the most important Roman archaeological sites in the world and Vesuvius is the only active volcano in Europe. Pompeii and Herculaneum are cities buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and re-discovered in the 18th century. It is possible to drive to 3,200 feet and then trek to its summit to enjoy the mesmerising views of the entire gulf of Naples.

POSITANO: A vibrant village with narrow, colourful buildings which cascade like a waterfall down a vertiginous hill to the sea. Positano's town centre meanders down to the waterfront, where a profusion of cafes, bars and restaurants sell fresh seafood. The beach air is filled with the perfume of orange, almond blossom and jasmine.

AMALFI: Once the most important trading port in the southern Italy, Amalfi is in the ravine of the Mulini Valley, its churches, towers and arcaded houses rising above the small harbour. The town's Duomo dominates a long flight of steps and embraces a picturesque piazza stretching to its seafront. A wonderful contrast between fine beaches in front and tall cliffs behind.
