The County Londonderry region
WELCOME TO THE NORTH COAST:
Dunluce Castle, Mussenden Temple, the Giant's Causeway and Bushmills Whiskey Distillery are all within easy reach of Coleraine and the North Coast's main resorts Portrush and Portstewart.
The International North West 200 Motorcycle Road Race and the NI International Air Show are two of the area's top events.
A wide range of restaurants and cosy traditional pubs are waiting to welcome you to an area of breathtaking scenery, award-winning Blue Flag beaches and numerous places to visit.
Within minutes drive you have many world class Golf Courses to choose from - including Portstewart Golf Club, Castleroack Golf Club and Royal Portrush Golf Club, host of The Irish Open 2012.
Portstewart is Portrush's closest neighbour with a population of 7,803. The two resorts have carved out distinctive characters of their own over the centuries since their similar roots as small fishing villages.
Lying only 4 miles east of Portrush and only 4 miles north of Coleraine, Portstewart is well situated for an all-round holiday on Ireland's North Coast.
Portstewart's Victorian era promenade boasts an upper and lower walk, with spectacular views across the North Coast to the Inishowen Peninsula of Donegal.
Stroll along Portstewart's National Trust protected Strand via the winding cliff path or watch the world go by from one of the famed ice-cream parlours, cafes, pubs or restaurants.
Browse in the colourful art galleries, craft and gift shops, or enjoy an afternoon's golf, tennis or bowls.
Ora Lodge is ideally located to enjoy all of these.

"Roomy family home a skip away to the coast"
Ora Lodge was the perfect accommodation for hosting my siblings and extending family for a few nights during our family reunion in Portstewart. Just minutes away from the coast line and a charming little herring pond for wading in the water; along with the downtown strip with pubs, breakfast joints and ice cream parlors galore. The home can accommodate upwards of 8 and feel cozy yet still comfortable. Friendly neighborhood and great summer craic with the festivals and action on The Strand -- just a few kilometers away walking along the coastal trail. Highly recommend staying here!
Many thanks for your lovely review - it was great welcoming you and your family all the way from USA. Portstewart is definitely one of Northern Ireland's treasures, with so much to see and do. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Ora Lodge and we await your return hopefully in the near future. We will be happy to offer you and our other guests a loyalty discount when you book directly with us. Many thanks and a warm N.Irish greeting to all the family.

Located in older part of town, close to cafes and pubs, but opposite end to golf course and the best beach in Portstewart. Home comfortable, had everything you needed but unfortunately property cold due to to poor weather Washing machine/tumble dryer outside in shed, not pleasant with bad weather. Also need to top up electricity as this is not fully included (Allowance of £10 given). Could find no mention of this on website, and feel people should be warned about this before they book. Downstairs shower not cleaned properly as bar of soap (with hair attached) and dirty bottle of shampoo left on floor. However, great location as near to Giants Causeway, Carrick rope bridge etc and a number of beaches along the coast, although car needed. Overall a lovely holiday.
Many thanks for your frank review. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to Ora lodge again. It is disappointing to note that the cleaning was not fully undertaken and we shall review this with the cleaner. The £10 electricity allowance is standard but we always ensure there is sufficient electricity available to our visitors. We will update our website to reflect this. Unfortunately we have nowhere else to locate the washing machine & tumble dryer and appreciate that this may be unpleasant to operate in inclement weather. The house has oil heating available for use in times of cooler temperatures, with back up electric heaters. The "Town/Old Course" Golf Course is located very close to the premises and offers an affordable and interesting challenge to the novice or seasoned golfer. Many thanks for taking the time to leave us your positive review. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. NB: We offer a loyalty discount to our clients who book directly with us in consecutive years.

"The accommodation was everything we needed for a very pleasant holiday"
The house was everything we needed for a very enjoyable holiday for our group of 5 adults and a 9 month old baby. The location was ideal for touring the north coast and very handy to the North West 200 racing circuit which was one of our main reasons for being in the area. The 2 bathrooms worked well for 5 adults and the rear enclosed yard was a real sun trap.
Many thanks for choosing Ora lodge and Portstewart for your holiday destination. It was a pleasure welcoming your family here to enjoy the seaside and the annual North West 200 motorbiking event. Many thanks for leaving your review, much appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the not too distant future.
