The location was wonderful, an easy walk to the golf course, beach and the Promenade. It was also very easy access to Ulsterbus services to get into Portrush, Coleraine or event Belfast (by train via Coleraine). It is also close to all the activities and restaurants in Portstewart, we would even take the bus to Portrush to enjoy the restaurants there, and it was less than 20 minutes door to door. The owners were wonderful and immediately addressed any questions and concerns and went out of their way to make our extended stay easier. We had the property for an extended period of time, and they assisted when needed. The listing was very accurate, we traveled with three teenagers so the WIFI access was a plus. The home was very clean and well manicured. I even had my cousin stay for a while and she loved it, she had a car and was able to access everything easily. I would definitely recommend Seafield Park to my family and friends.

"Really enjoyed our stay"
Myself, husband and 2 kids (3 yrs old and 6 mths old) stayed here for 6 nights in May 2015 and would definitely go back. The owners were helpful and friendly throughout the booking process and our stay. The house was clean and child friendly - travel cot, highchair, buggy, even buckets and spades were provided. It really was a home from home. Location wise, the house is only a short walk to the promenade and the strand, and a great base for exploring other north coast attractions - gaints causeway, rope bridge, dunluce castle
Thanks Edele for taking the time to write your review. I am pleased you found the position of our home to your liking. As you state our home is convenient not just for the sand, sea and shops (and restaurants), but also to many of our world renowned attractions. I know the weather was not always sunny for you, but as you told me, hot sun does have its own problems for babies and toddlers. I was so pleased when you told me you were out on the beach even when it was dull and cloudy. I was glad young James made good use of buckets and spades. Not so glad to see that Dad broke his arm just before leaving for your holiday. You will have to return and this time YOU have the holiday, hopefully with Jim ‘firing on all fours’. See you soon.

"Excellent. Home from home."
Great place to stay to explore NI. Clean, well equipped and comfy beds. Owners have thought of everything. Highly recommended.
Thanks Mick, pleased you enjoyed you stay with us and found everything to your liking. "Great location, family home"
This house was superb. It more than catered for our needs and was within walking distance of Portstewart. There was even a lovely restaurant at the end of the road. The house was very clean and was one of the first things I noticed when we arrived. We quickly felt at home and did not have to figure anything out as all electrical appliances were left with clear operating instructions. It was also very child friendly and both kids felt at home in no time and loved their separate bedrooms. Our 3 year old still talks about 'the holiday home'!
Thank you Olga for your kind comments, it is especially nice when the little ones enjoy and remember their holidays. The beach and Promenade are so convenient, you can leave your car keys in the drawer and have a car free, carefree break for a few days. But of course not forgetting to visit all the glorious sights, when the car is useful. You can always use the very good train and bus service. See you next time.

"Lovely bright clean house in a great location!"
Had a 2 night stay here and was so impressed with how lovely this house was- so well kitted out with everything you could think of in the kitchen and lots of wee extras to make your stay more comfortable! Impressive tv system with catch up tv and fast wifi. Beds were so comfy with freshly laundered bed linen. Lovely private garden out the back and closed in to keep kids safe! One welcomed addition would have been a stair gate to contain my 15month old but didn't affect my stay here. George is so helpful when booking and everything is done very professionally! Glad to have found this house in a super location -hope to be back again soon!
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay Kathryn and found everything to your satisfaction You got pretty good weather too for the time of year, so you were able to get out and explore our spectacular coastline. Thank you for your review.

"A Great Choice: Town and House"
We are frequent travelers to Ireland, but had never been to Northern Ireland before. There was much we wanted to see, but we prefer not to move around a great deal. We did some research and decided to stay in Portstewart for its smaller size, and proximity to the ocean and to the many sites on the northern coast. Then, we were fortunate enough to find 1 Seafield Park owned by Geoff and Hilda McKinney. The house had everything we needed, and then some. We did some of our own cooking, washed and dried clothes, and found lots of material to help us decide routes, and other things to do. At Geoff's recommendation, and with information in the house, we took a train from nearby Coleraine to Derry/Londonderry and had a great day, including a walking tour. (We'd recommend the open top bus for their walking tour. It includes the walls around the city as well as a walk through the neighborhoods which are the sites of the former "troubles." We had an excellent guide named Bill.) Geoff was helpful about all sorts of information and helped make our stay easy. It was also very easy to make the original rental from the States. I give an unreserved recommendation to 1 Seafield Park, and Geoff and Hilda!
Thank you so much Joyce and Pat for taking time to write such a detailed review. You seemed to have spent your time well. We are always glad to welcome new friends from the States and are pleased that you will, hopefully, have many happy memories from your first visit to N. Ireland. Come back soon and tell your friends!

This was our second stay at 1 Seafield Park and it was just as good as last year. We loved it and the kids did too. The owners now set the standard for all the competition on what a good holiday let should be. Highly recommended.
It was lovely to see you back again this year Suzanne, Chris, Tom and Isabella. I know you have been coming to Porststewart now for 20 years and we are pleased that you have made our house your “Second Home”. Thank you for your comment re. setting the standard, we just try to meet all your needs and make you as comfortable as possible. We are glad you had a good fortnight. See you again next year!

"This rental was a warm welcoming home - a great place even in November"
This house was tastefully decorated throughout, it was warm, clean and bright. A few minutes walk from the amazing North Coast of Northern Ireland. It was close to the Giant's Causeway with it's new Visitor Centre and close to Derry/Londonderry, the first UK City of Culture. In all a great place to be and a stepping stone to many other wonderful places.
Thank you Lexi for taking the time to write your review. We are pleased you enjoyed the comfort and cleanliness of our home which has everything you need. As you say it can be a stepping stone to sights further afield or simply walk ouside the door and you are at the coast in minutes. Wonderful pure fresh sea air.

My wife and I stayed at this holiday home for 5 nights in June together with our two kids (aged 3 months, and two). Our booking was at quite late notice, but this wasn't a problem at all. We contacted Geoff (the owner) directly, and the booking process couldn't have been easier. Everything was made very clear and straightforward. The house itself was great. The biggest advantage was the location -a 5 minute walk from the Portstewart promenade. The house was very comfortable -set in a quiet location, warm and spotlessly clean, and well kitted out throughout with all mod-cons. The beds were also very comfortable. All of the attractions of the North coast were just a short drive away. The house was a great base to travel from. Overall we had a fantastic short break, and we're already planning our next visit!
We are delighted that you enjoyed your visit to our home Jonathan, The convenience of the short walk to the promenade even for little ones, can indeed be a big advantage. Of course as well as the drive to the numerous local attractions, a nice day tour would be a drive around the Inishowen Peninsula to name but one. It is encouraging when a guest intimates that they would like to return to us. We will be delighted to welcome you back.

"perfect spot for a seaside stay with family"
It was easy walking distance from Portstewart town which has a great selection of places to eat out and a few shops to browse or get the essentials in. The park was visited every day! It is a short drive to other coastal destinations. The house provided everything you might need (unless you would miss a dishwasher), my only disappointment was a poor shower. The beds were really comfy, the children loved the bunk beds and liked the games and books. The grown ups loved having the novelty of an open fire. All in all we had a relaxing time.
I am pleased you found our home so convenient to everything. You are correct in saying that the kitchen has everything except a dishwasher. When we renovated the house, there just was no room for everything so the dishwasher lost out. I am told that washing dishes by hand can be a very theraputic exercise, it's true! You mentioned the shower, it is certainly no power shower, but nevertheless does the job. We look forward to seeing you again.
