"Fantastic stay very close to Portstewart centre"
My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights between Christmas and new year. We found the accommodation to be a home from home. The 2nd night of our stay was officially the coldest night in Northern Ireland… More
Thank you Simon for taking the time to review your stay with us. I am delighted that you were not tempted to stay in the warmth of the house, but ventured out to take in the bracing air of the North Coast. Thank you for staying with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back with your new baby.

"Great location, family home"
This house was superb. It more than catered for our needs and was within walking distance of Portstewart. There was even a lovely restaurant at the end of the road. The house was very clean and was one of the first things I noticed when we arrived. We quickly felt at home and did not have to figure anything out as all electrical appliances were left with clear operating instructions. It was also very child friendly and both kids felt at home in no time and loved their separate bedrooms. Our 3 year old still talks about 'the holiday home'!
Thank you Olga for your kind comments, it is especially nice when the little ones enjoy and remember their holidays. The beach and Promenade are so convenient, you can leave your car keys in the drawer and have a car free, carefree break for a few days. But of course not forgetting to visit all the glorious sights, when the car is useful. You can always use the very good train and bus service. See you next time.

"Lovely bright clean house in a great location!"
Had a 2 night stay here and was so impressed with how lovely this house was- so well kitted out with everything you could think of in the kitchen and lots of wee extras to make your stay more comfortable! Impressive tv system with catch up tv and fast wifi. Beds were so comfy with freshly laundered bed linen. Lovely private garden out the back and closed in to keep kids safe! One welcomed addition would have been a stair gate to contain my 15month old but didn't affect my stay here. George is so helpful when booking and everything is done very professionally! Glad to have found this house in a super location -hope to be back again soon!
I'm glad you enjoyed your stay Kathryn and found everything to your satisfaction You got pretty good weather too for the time of year, so you were able to get out and explore our spectacular coastline. Thank you for your review.

Thanks for your review.

"A Great Choice: Town and House"
We are frequent travelers to Ireland, but had never been to Northern Ireland before. There was much we wanted to see, but we prefer not to move around a great deal. We did some research and decided to stay in Portstewart for its smaller size, and proximity to the ocean and to the many sites on the northern coast. Then, we were fortunate enough to find 1 Seafield Park owned by Geoff and Hilda McKinney. The house had everything we needed, and then some. We did some of our own cooking, washed and dried clothes, and found lots of material to help us decide routes, and other things to do. At Geoff's recommendation, and with information in the house, we took a train from nearby Coleraine to Derry/Londonderry and had a great day, including a walking tour. (We'd recommend the open top bus for their walking tour. It includes the walls around the city as well as a walk through the neighborhoods which are the sites of the former "troubles." We had an excellent guide named Bill.) Geoff was helpful about all sorts of information and helped make our stay easy. It was also very easy to make the original rental from the States. I give an unreserved recommendation to 1 Seafield Park, and Geoff and Hilda!
Thank you so much Joyce and Pat for taking time to write such a detailed review. You seemed to have spent your time well. We are always glad to welcome new friends from the States and are pleased that you will, hopefully, have many happy memories from your first visit to N. Ireland. Come back soon and tell your friends!

Sounds like you had a great time Pauline. Doughnuts for supper, then up at sunrise to burn off the calories with a jog along the beach. Taking in all that fresh Atlantic sea air. Thank you for your kind recommendation. As well as a place to stay to relax and get those batteries recharged, it is an ideal base to enable you to see so much on offer on the north coast. Looking forward to seeing you again, thanks for staying with us.

This was our second stay at 1 Seafield Park and it was just as good as last year. We loved it and the kids did too. The owners now set the standard for all the competition on what a good holiday let should be. Highly recommended.
It was lovely to see you back again this year Suzanne, Chris, Tom and Isabella. I know you have been coming to Porststewart now for 20 years and we are pleased that you have made our house your “Second Home”. Thank you for your comment re. setting the standard, we just try to meet all your needs and make you as comfortable as possible. We are glad you had a good fortnight. See you again next year!

Emma thank you for your recommendation. We are quiet well equipped for visits to the beach, lots of nice and reasonably priced restaurants within walking or short driving distance. I know you also enjoyed visits to the wonderful sites, Giant’s Causeway, Carrick–a-rede rope bridge, etc. We all know that keeping the kids happy is the most important thing to do, you seem to have done that. Maybe see you again, the next time you come north.

Hazel we thank you very much for taking the time to write your review of your visit to us. This is a testimony to the fact that you do not even have to have a car to have a great relaxing holiday (I know you had a car but rarely used it). If you are a first timer to this part of Ireland you will of course want to travel a little further a field. There is so much to see even within a 20 mile radius. Check out the great guides available online from the N.I Tourist Board (NITB) Looking forward to seeing you again.
