RIGHT ON THE SEAFRONT!
This luxurious, sea front, south facing Penthouse is centrally located and close to all the Southsea attractions including the Pier, the Pyramid Centre, the Blue Reef Aquarium and the D-Day Museum. Southsea is right on the doorstep with its cosmopolitan bars and restaurants, together with a myriad of independent shops offering a wide range of unusual wares. The famous Gunwharf Quays is close by in neighbouring Portsmouth, with the Spinnaker Tower taking pride of place on the skyline.

Situated within a beautiful character building, this two bedroom Penthouse is decorated in a contemporary style. The lounge/dining room is comfortably designed for four and the separate kitchen is equipped with every necessity. The two double bedrooms (one with king size bed, the other with bunk beds) both have en suite facilities and the apartment benefits from secure parking and a security entrance. Added to this, the Penthouse has it's own private lift which open up into the apartment. This gives an extra touch of luxury to this spacious holiday home. However, the most outstanding point is the view. Every window has panoramic views of the Solent with it's ever changing picture of boats, yachts, ferries and the famous Southsea hovercraft. The view is breathtaking and you will find it hard to drag yourself away. Why stay in a hotel when you can relax in this luxurious and spacious apartment? This is a great place for a short or long break as there is so much to see and do in Southsea and the surrounding areas.

The Central Southern England / Hampshire region

The Southern Coast of England is dotted with beautiful ports and harbours and nowhere is this more true than the south-central region centred on the county of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Cowes, on the Isle of Wight, is one of the world's most renown yachting centres. Across the Solent Channel is Portsmouth, with its rich maritime heritage. North of Portsmouth is Winchester at one time the capitol of England with its beautiful medieval cathedral and castle. To the South West lies the New Forest, planted by William the Conqueror. The National Motor Museum is located at Beaulieu in the grounds of a stately home carved from the remains of a medieval monastery. Close by is Broadlands, former home of Lord Mountbatten. West from Winchester lies another Cathedral city, Salisbury. The Cathedral stands in a green expanse of lawn in the centre of the city; the spire is the tallest in England and reaches to 404ft. North of Salisbury lies

Stonehenge the impressive stone circle begun nearly 5000 years ago. The broad open fields of Salisbury Plain are home to hundreds of other prehistoric mounds, tombs and circles.

Portsmouth / Southsea area

Portsmouth is a city rich in its maritime heritage. The city houses the Royal Naval Museum, which stands besides two historic ships in the city harbour. The HMS Victory was the flagship of Admiral Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar, where the one-armed hero lost his life but won one of the most famous sea battles in history. In a special exhibit nearby, visitors can explore the remains of the Mary Rose, built by Henry VIII the Mary Rose sank on its maiden voyage, in full view of Henry and his court, but it has been rescued from its watery grave and preserved.

Only a few minutes walk from the Royal Naval Museum is Gunwharf Quays with a Marina, over 95 designer shop outlets, sophisticated bars and restaurants, 14 screen vue cinema and bowling complex. The Spinnaker Tower soars 170 metres into the sky above the harbour, step out onto view deck 1 and on a clear day you can see for 23 miles or more, dare to walk across the glass floor at the top of the tower.

Southsea beach is stony and has two piers, South Parade Pier and Clarence Pier, both contain amusement arcades; South Parade Pier also contains a ballroom and a bar, Clarence Pier is situated next to a permanent funfair. The D-day Museum which houses the Overlord Embroidery and Southsea Castle are also located within the seafront as are miniature golf courses, a skateboard park and public tennis courts. The Blue Reef Aquarium is also situated on the seafront.

Just away from the seafront is Southsea Model Village which contains forty miniature buildings, houses, forts, castles and a railway. It was opened in 1956 on the site of a Victorian fort; another part of the fort has been converted into Southsea Rose Garden.

The Kings Theatre situated in Albert Road, is a venue that hosts a variety of performances.
In October the BUPA Great South Run takes place in Southsea and Portsmouth and is Britain’s leading 10-mile running event. A fast flat route in Southsea, Portsmouth is the ideal course to record a personal best and is regarded as one of the most popular road races in the United Kingdom.
