About the home
The Gallery is an eclectic Grade II listed Georgian building retaining many of its original features including large open fireplaces in the large living room and dining room that offer lovely real fires in the winter, and a large garden to enjoy in the summer.
Modern essentials are not neglected with a modern kitchen and large American style fridge/freezer, sky tv and wi-fi and of course the house is fully gas central heated throughout.
Situated in a Conservation Area, The Gallery has an eclectic feel with its lovely chandeliers, long flowing curtains in the living and dining rooms, original modern works of art by a local artist scattered throughout the house, and is suitable for groups of any size for either a relaxing short break or a summer holiday near to the beach. Full catering, garden parties, and/or private chef can be arranged for any special events but be rest assured the large kitchen is fully equipped for self catering.
The house is situated in the Portsmouth area of Hampshire, being an ideal base for either sailing, a beach holiday with three local beaches nearby, for exploring the Hampshire countryside or for visiting the vibrant Gunwharf Quays with its waterfront restaurants, bars and shops.
The Gallery features spacious double bedrooms with travel cots and high chairs also available if required, and three bathrooms. Great flexibility in the bedrooms with either king double or single beds to suit. 15 separate beds are available if required. The property has a dual aspect large living room. Guests have the option of creating two separate living rooms by using the original Georgian doors to form separate reception rooms. A large dining room is next to the kitchen which can seat up to 15 with the option of dining next to the real fire to create a great atmosphere!
There is ample of off-road parking at the rear of the property for at least 6 cars with room for a boat & trailer as well!

5 very spacious double bedrooms with choice of either 7 king double beds or 15 single beds or a combination of both. A double sofa bed in the double length living room with the option to close off the living room to create 2 rooms, provides a 6th bedroom if required. Total approx floor area 2200 sq feet. One downstairs bathroom. Two first floor bathrooms.
A weekly housekeeper is provided and is included in the rental cost, as well as all bedding, linen, bathroom towels, gas, electricity, Sky TV with movies & sports channels, Wi-Fi and cot and highchair if needed.
Large kitchen with American style fridge/freezer and industrial size oven. Fully equipped to cater for large and small groups.

The Central Southern England / Hampshire region
Hampshire is a popular holiday area, with tourist attractions including its many seaside resorts, the maritime area in Portsmouth, and the motor museum at Beaulieu. The New Forest National Park lies within the borders, as does a large area of the South Downs, which is also scheduled to become a National Park. Hampshire has a long maritime history and two of England's largest ports lie on its coast. The county is famed as home of the writers Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.
Hampshire has a milder climate than most areas of the British Isles, being in the far south with the climate stabilising effect of the sea, but protected against the more extreme weather of the Atlantic coast.
The Portsmouth / Gosport area
We are located in the beautiful area of The Solent where a 5-10 minute walk brings you to the beach where you can view all the yachts and the Isle of Wight. The area offers visitors a variety of natural, historical and naval attractions, as well as beautiful coastal walks.
We are able to arrange for rib rides and sailing days on The Solent, which is a great way of exploring what the area has to offer.
We are located just a few minutes from Portsmouth, with its excellent restaurants and bars at the vibrant waterfront Gunwharf Quays, and the historical Dockyard where you can visit The Warrior and Nelson's famous ship The Victory.
A superb network of public transport includes a foot passenger ferry from Gosport to Portsmouth (a 5-minute journey), and regular train and bus services ensuring easy access to all areas and a car is not essential.
You have the choice of two beaches whilst on holiday here. Stokes Bay Beach with its unspoilt coastline, wine bar and bistro and wonderful views.. Popular for sunbathing, sailing and windsurfing. Lee on Solent Beach is located a ten minute drive from the property, offering a variety of restaurants with many jetskiers and kitesurfers enjoying the facilities available.
