The Hampshire region

Set in the 'Sunny South of England' Hampshire benefits from a milder climate than most areas of the British Isles, being in the far south with the climate stabilizing effect of the sea, but protected against the more extreme weather of the Atlantic coast.

It is a popular holiday area, with tourist attractions including its many seaside resorts, the maritime area in Portsmouth, and the motor museum at Beaulieu. The New Forest National Park lies within the borders, as does a large area of the South Downs, which is also scheduled to become a National Park.

Hampshire has a long maritime history and two of England's largest ports lie on its coast. The county is famed as home of the writers Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.

"great place to stay"

Harbour Views lives up to its name and is a lovely modern apartment - clean, light & in a terrific location. Trains, buses & ferries are very, close by not to mention the beach and seafront. Gunwharf shopping centre is also close by which even husbands enjoy wandering around - if not for the shops then for the sea views!
Helen and Stuart are most delightful landlords who are only a phone call away if you require anything and who genuinely just wish to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.
