Tihs property is an ideal 'stopover' for trips to France, as the ferryport is 5 mins drive away.

Portsmouth is a historic coastal city steeped in history - as well as being the birthplace of authors Charles Dickens and H G Wells, it is the home of the historic Royal Naval dockyard - Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is one of the top ten heritage attractions in the UK and a great day out for all the family. Home to the world famous historic ships, Mary Rose, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the interactive attraction Action Stations! Visit Southsea Castle, from where King Henry VIII watched the sinking of the Mary Rose. Enjoy an irresistible mix of history and heritage, specialist shopping, lively arts, great restaurants and bars and a programme of year round events. From the harbour to the beach Portsmouth has something to offer everyone.
Portsmouth's waterfront extends for miles through Old Portsmouth and along Southsea's Victorian seafront. Stunning views across the Solent, space to stroll or look at the views towards the Isle of Wight.
Portsmouth is also a typical seaside town, with promenade, pier, aquarium, boating lake, funfair and other seaside attractions.
Portsmouth has many events throughout the year. Every year there are maritime events such as the International Festival of the Sea. Each August is the Portsmouth and Southsea Show and the Kite Festival. In October it hosts the Great South Run.
Newer attractions include the Gunwharf Quays award winning waterfront complex with cinemas, bowlplex, shops, restaurants and bars. Visit the 170 m high Spinnaker Tower, a unique attraction with its viewing platform giving 260 degrees views over the south and Isle of Wight.
In the area there are many miles of coastline to be explored and beautiful English countryside with quaint villages and good pubs.
Take a trip to the Isle of Wight on Europe's only passenger hovercraft. Also, France can be easily reached for day trips by ferry or catamaran.
How to get there
Portsmouth can be easily reached via the motorway network from London and other parts of the country. It is an hour from London and an hour and a half from international airports of Gatwick and Heathrow. Easy access to Portsmouth ferryport with ferries to France and Spain.
Three stations, Portsmouth and Southsea, Fratton and Portsmouth Harbour all a short taxi ride away.
