The accommadation is modern and furnished to a high level, the building is in the popular new development Gunwarf Quays, which is close to the beaches and all amenities. Gunwharf Quays itself has many good places to eat and drink and a good variety of outlet shopping, there is also ten pin bowling and a cinema and the famous Spinnaker Tower.
During the summer months this destination is perfect for enjoying the beach and warm evenings outside the local winebars and restaurants, or even travelling to the Isle of Wight, (the ferry goes from nearby) London (only 1hr &20minutes - train station next to Gunwharf) or nearby Sandbanks and Bournemouth. The flat would suit couples looking for an educational or romantic break. for as little as 3 days and up to a week.
However there are additonal sleeping facilities for a further two, so this would also be ideal for four, looking for a varied short break or a week away, or a family, there are many local attractions for children, in Gunwharf Quays or locally in Southsea.
A car is not necessary as the station is so close as are other forms of transport. If you do decide to travel by car the apartment has its own parking space, which is very unusual in this area.
The apartment offers all the high specifications of a modern hotel, but with more space, a balcony and self-catering facilities,plus a few extra luxuries and a brilliant venue, everything on your doorstep!

The Central Southern England / Hampshire region
Southsea is a seaside town with a great deal of local history. Charles Dickens was born here and you can visit his birthplace. We have extensive maritime history ( The Victory, Mary Rose and The Warrior), forts and towers from which battles were fought, these can all be visited, including the fort out at sea.
We have a beautiful Cathedral and some lovely churches, the Garrison church is of special interest and the local architecture is quaint.
For children there are the usual activities such as the Sealife Centre, a boating pond, fun fair and model village. There is a nine whole par three pitch and putt course and crazy golf.
Portsmouth / Southsea area
Every four years we celebrate the Festival of the Sea, when naval ships from various countries allow the public to view their ships and submarines.
Cowes week is yearly and the ferry to the I.O.W runs from the terminal next to Gunwarf.
We have a Hampshire cricket ground at the Bowl, HedgeEnd - a 20 minute drive away.
Portsmouth hosts a popular beer festival in August and various activities along the seafront during the summer months.
There is of course the graduation celebrations for Portsmouth University in the summer.
We have various different leisure facilities throughout the city, including golf. Please consult the local tourist information for further help.
How to get there
Brittany Ferries and LD Lines run from Portsmouth to France. From nearby Bournmouth ferries run to the Channel Islands. Five minutes walk from the apartment will take you to the IOW ferries.
The nearest airports are Bournemouth and Southampton, both about 1/2 hour away, Flybe flies out of these airports.
Heathrow and Gatwick are 11/2 hours away. Easy Jet fly to and from Gatwick. The nearest train station is within 5 minutes walk to the apartment and links to London and other major cities in the UK.
The city has all well known car hire companies to choose from and a good bus and taxi service.

Further details indoors: The flat is on the 7th floor, reached via a lift, which is found near the concierge and reception area. There is one parking slot allocated, found under the tower block
The flat is tastfully and fully furnished including all bedding, towels and a welcome pack and everything you need for a week away from home. All fixtures and fittings are of the highest quality. The bedroom has a small balcony with views over Portsmouth.
There is under floor heating and windows overlooking Gunwarf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower.
The Tower Block itself is the flagship for the south coast and looks stunning against the skyline and overlooks the Spinnaker Tower.
Further details outdoors: Gunwarf Quays is a very attractive modern area suitable for varied shopping, good restaurants,( Lock Fyne, Strada, to name but two) and bars. There are facilities for various entertainments including a VUE cinema.
Away from Gunwarf, the Victory and other historic naval attractions are within 1 Kilometre.
There are other seaside attractions to visit including a Sealife Centre and Funfair.
Further towards Bournmouth (only 50 minutes) there are more beautiful sandy beaches including Sandbanks. and Studland Bay.
Just 1 hour and 20 minutes from Portsmouth is London and all its sights.
