The Central Southern England / Hampshire region
Hampshire is a popular holiday area, with tourist attractions including its many seaside resorts, the maritime area in Portsmouth, and the motor museum at Beaulieu. The New Forest National Park lies within the borders, as does a large area of the South Downs, which is also scheduled to become a National Park. Hampshire has a long maritime history and two of England's largest ports lie on its coast. The county is famed as home of the writers Jane Austen and Charles Dickens.
Hampshire has a milder climate than most areas of the British Isles, being in the far south with the climate stabilising effect of the sea, but protected against the more extreme weather of the Atlantic coast.
Portsmouth / Gosport area
We are located in the beautiful area of The Solent where a few minutes walk from the property brings you to the beach where you can view all the yachts and the Isle of Wight. The area offers visitors a variety of natural, historical and naval attractions, as well as beautiful coastal walks.
We are able to arrange for rib rides and sailing days on The Solent, which is a great way of exploring what the area has to offer.
We are located just a few minutes from Portsmouth, with its excellent restaurants and bars at the vibrant waterfront Gunwharf Quays, and the historical Dockyard where you can visit The Warrior and Nelson's famous ship The Victory.
A superb network of public transport includes a foot passenger ferry from Gosport to Portsmouth (a 5-minute journey), and regular train and bus services ensuring easy access to all areas and a car is not essential.
You have the choice of two beaches whilst on holiday here. Stokes Bay Beach with its unspoilt coastline, wine bar and bistro and wonderful views.. Popular for sunbathing, sailing and windsurfing. Lee on Solent Beach is located a ten minute drive from the property, offering a variety of restaurants with many jetskiers and kitesurfers enjoying the facilities available.

B Duff (New Zealand) Nov & Dec 2007. We have really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you for all the extra touches that make it feel like a loved home, not just a rental house. Its made a big difference for us.
P Hollis July 2007. Thank you Fiona and Ben for making us feel so welcome especially with your thoughtful little touches.....for having the kettle boiled and ready for a cuppa on our arrival, for the chocolates on our beds and the welcome hamper, for the bicycles for us to explore on and for the gifts for the children.
B Jones March 2007. Thank you for a very comfy cosy holiday, we all wished we could have stayed longer, it fitted the bill perfectly. Your welcome and help was superb and we will definetly pass on Park House information to friends.
B Muraview (Moscow) June 2007 A truly lovely home that the photos don't do justice to!
D Reese Oct 2006. Again thank you Fiona for the extra effort you made to present the house so beautifully, it has been a pleasure to stay.
