Shorelines is a traditional and spacious yet cosy 2 bedroomed cottage an electric woodburning effect stove, conservatory and private courtyard garden . Round the corner is a beach, pub, shops, post office and the beginning of beautiful coastal walks on the Roseland Peninsula accessible by foot.
Within a short drive are more lovely beaches with safe swimming, sailing, windsurfing and canoeing and further stunning walks and places of interest to visit. Ideal for families/couples.

Shorelines is a cosy yet spacious cottage recently bought by the owner and furnished and equipped to a high standard and ideal for all year round holidays.
On the ground floor is a large sitting room with an open fire which leads into the conservatory and a kitchen/dining room.
On the first floor 2 bedrooms, one double with a 5ft bed the other twin bedded room and bathroom bath/shower, washbasin & WC.

At the back of the cottage is a private courtyard garden with tables, chairs and BBQ and Shorelines has its own designated parking space, which is rare in Portscatho.

The property is usually rented on a weekly basis though short breaks are available out of high season. If you have other requirements please contact the owner.
Weekly lettings run from Saturday/Saturday.

Portscatho is situated in the South West corner of Gerrans Bay, which is a sheltered cove and surrounded by land which is overseen by Heritage Coast and The National Trust.
There are many stunning, sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs and lovely country side and villages in land to explore.
The Portscatho area
Portscatho is a traditional fishing village and local shops include a butchers, grocers, galleries and a gift shop. The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Eden Project are half and hour's drive away and there are many other National Trust Gardens & Houses in the garden to visit. Nearby Falmouth has many shops and restaurants with local products and the cathedral city of Truro is accessibly either by road of via The King Harry Ferry.
The many watersports include sailing and windsurfing and surfing is available on the North Cornish Coast which is only a short distance away. There are many beaches with safe swimming and rock pools and it is spectacular walking country along the coastal paths.

Th cottage is well appointed , with clear instructions about everything including the care and placing of dogs . The beds were comfortable . The position right behind the pub had its plusses and few minuses. The only problem was the designated car park behind the cottage as it is reached by a narrow concrete path with an awkward turn which put us off using it . However in the off season there are plenty of parking places nearby in the square . There are no sea views. |

Please ignore a previous review, This is a lovely warm cottage in the middle of Portscatho. It is very clean, comfortable,well equipped and perfectly positioned for walking and sight seeing. The village has 2 fantastic pubs, a boat club, Deli/bakery, butchers, cafe, lovely gift shops and 2 galleries. There are various restaurants near by and a local Farm shop selling veg, meat and locally caught fish. We loved it so much we are already booked for next new year. The owner has 4 dwellings all perfectly formed and very reasonably priced for their standard and the area they are in. Fowey and Falmouth are very close and great for a day out. My wife and I stayed for a week in April. Shorelines is a lovely cottage. It is simple, with little in the way of frills, but we found it clean and comfortable and with everything we needed and more. The bed was especially comfortable, the best of any cottage we've stayed in. This place isn't a pristine show-home - some of the furniture has a bit of wear and not everything matches - but it has loads of character and is in a great location. If it is truly, vitally important to you for the crockery to all match, then you might want to go somewhere else less real. As for us. We'll be going back! |
