About the home
Fladda Chuain is a semi detached self-catering apartment located in the small crofting township of Herbusta, on Skye's beautiful Trotternish Peninsula, which is an area of dramatic beauty, great walks and an abundance of wildlife. The apartment, which comfortably accommodates two people, is attached to the owner's home, but guests have their own private access, garden area and outside seating area. The ground floor of the apartment has a comfortable and generously sized double bedroom, with a seating area and view over looking the garden, towards the sea.
The main living space and bathroom are located on the upper floor. Here there is an open plan living room and kitchen space with foldaway dinning furniture. Large skylight windows provide elevated open views of the Outer Hebrides and in the evening you can enjoy colourful sunsets over the Minch.
Although compact, the apartment houses all essential appliances. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge with freezer box, washing machine, and microwave. The living room area has a comfortable sofa and arm chair, and there is Freesat TV and a DVD player. The bright bathroom has W/C, wash hand basin, and bath tub.
The township of Herbusta is only 6 miles from ht village of Uig where you will find a local grocery shop, restaurant, and pub. There is also a ferry port from which there are daily ferry sailings to the Western Isles. There are also many local attractions for you to visit. Follow in the footsteps of film stars in the magical Fairy Glen, where Michelle Pfeiffer plotted wickedly in the film Stardust. Pick up a beautifully crafted souvenir from Uig Pottery or even make your own. Or sample an award winning beer at the Isle of Skye Brewery. Also close by and well worth a visit are the Museum of Island Life, a recently discovered Iron Age Souterrain, and the Whitewave Outdoor Centre.
