Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
The Bothy is one of our charmingly renovated cottages on a working farm set in an outstanding position on the outskirts of the little village of Staffin. It sits at the foot of the beautiful Quirain mountain range with views across the sea; it's typical of the stunning accommodation Scotland is famous for. The inside of the building has been restored to created a careful blend of original features (stone walls, slates, wood burning stove and high ceilings) with high quality modern decoration and furnishings, including a luxurious corner shower and well laid out contemporary kitchen; accommodation Scotland can be proud of.

The Hebrides/Skye region
The Isle of Skye lies just off the west coast of Scotland and is now connected to the Scottish mainland by a road bridge at the Kyle of Lochalsh.
One of the largest of the western isles, Skye provides for an ideal holiday location with plenty of amenities for family holidays yet retaining a stunning beauty and tranquillity for a peaceful break in northern Scotland.
This is a great spot for wildlife lovers, whether it's on the land, in the air or on the sea. Keep a look out for elusive otters and dolphins or if you're really lucky you might glimpse a passing golden eagle! It's easy to take to the sea and boat hire is readily available.
The landscape around the Bothy is spectacular. You can really become part of the local way of life; helping out on the farm or joining the village ceilidh, sea fishing with the owner of The Bothy or chatting at the store which is only 100 yards from the cottage.
This is a fantastic location for exploring the natural wonders of the area such as the Kilt Rock waterfall and the Old Man of Storr. Skye is renowned for being among dramatic mountain scenery and there are countless opportunities for climbing, walking, sea kayaking and pony trekking. The wildlife is breathtaking with seals, otters, kittiwakes, eagles and dolphins all to be seen and is often reflected in the local craft shops. Skye is now easily accessed by the road bridge or by ferry meaning you can be amongst all this stunning scenery staying in one of the nicest cottage in Scotland, much quicker than you think.
