Or just wander down to our local beach on foot, just a few hundred meters !!!

The apartment is attached to the owners residence, has its own private patio and decking. The outlook if very lush with trees and a terraced garden. Immediately you will feel the warmth of a much loved home when you enter this excellent contemporary apartment

It will really feel so homely and this beautiful apartment will be decorated for christmas with a real xmas tree and added decorative touches, like scented candles, lights etc. Also included in the price will be homemade chutney, cornish speciality cheeses and homemade mulled wine. The West Country / Cornwall region

Portreath is a small harbour village. The beach is lifeguarded and surrouded by lovely cliff-top walks. The village has 3 pubs, a local bakers, Post Office and local store. There is a Cantonese takeaway or a very good chinese restruarant is only approx 1.5 mile away.
We have a Surf Life Saving Club right of the beach here in Portreath, plenty of competative activity and advice on how to get started.

The much famed Eden Project is approx 45 mins drive away and we have numerous National Trust gardens and properties within a short drive. The very beautiful National Trust beach of Godrevy is appox 3 miles up the coast road, with its lighthouse and spectacular scenery, many of our professional photographers spend hours here !! This area of West Cornwall is a haven for bird watchers, walkers and surfers. Also, it is so handy for exploring all areas of Cornwall. There is a cycle trail and bike hire is available locally. Walking to one of our favourite spots will blow away your cares !!!

Superbly located if you are interested in Mountain Biking, Cycling and Horse Riding, not to mention surfing on 3 of our most famous surfing beaches !!!!

TAKE AN AUTUMN OR EARLY SPRING ACTIVITY BREAK - See our special rates - on the tarrif page - We have excellent facilities here at Morlanow to enable you to bring your own equitment and store it conveniently. For example, Bring your Mountain Bikes, wetsuits, walking Hiking gear and enjoy the great outdoors whilst saving money on hiring equipment. We have excellent Horse riding stables and schools nearby and some of the most beautiful trails, bridle tracks and footpaths in the country, right from outside the door here at Morlanow Apartment.

Cycle, ride or walk our famous Coast to Coast Tramroad Trail, as seen on BBC 2 Railway Walks programme 30/9/09. From our north coast here in Portreath along to the south coast at Devoran. Described as spectactular by the BBC.


The Cathedral city of Truro is approx 11 miles away There are fine beaches nearby, such as St Agnes, Porthtowan, Gwithian, Godrevy and Hayle, Located just a couple of miles from our village beach and harbour here at Portreath.

The Tate gallery at St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth museum are only 30 mins away
The beach and coastal walks here in Portreath are a delight.
If you are looking for great eating out places, I can recommend a few local ones which are very unique and relaxing, or if you prefer to spend less on dining out, you will not be disappointed with my recommended
evening picnic spots, or just have tea on your private patio would still make you feel you are on holiday

JUNE 14th - The Midsummer Swellboard Classic will be held at Godrevy Beach - only 10 mins. drive away from Morlanow apartment.

WHAT TO DO -

Mountain biking, cycling. horse riding, surf-schools, famous trails and walks are all on our doorstep. Bird-watchers will also delight at our wildlife along the coastal walks and the 250 acres of Tehidy Coutry Park, which is only minutes from the Apartment.

How to get there

Car is the preferred method of transport. The nearest airport of NEWQUAY, which is approx 35 mins journey by car to our property, also, you can get some very cheap flights if you book in advance. Please do not hesitate to ask for advice if you prefer not to drive. The nearest railway station is Redruth approx 3 miles away

The apartment is newly refurbished and is a lovely space with some special design features such as lighting and furnishings. The open-plan design is light and spacious and the separate bedroom is away from the main area up three steps Whilst the woodland obscures the sea view you can still enjoy and hear the sound of those waves crashing in
All bedlinen, tea towels and bath towels are provided ( bring your own beach towels )
All electricity is included ( all electric property )
There are electric panel radiator and fire for your comfort
Double bed in bedroom, which is exceptionally comfortable

For 2010, we have some very special rates for Easter weeks and throughout May. Please email for availability as we already have firm bookings taken !!!

We also cater for Single person bookings, with no extra supplements.

Plenty of outside space to store any wetsuits/walking boots etc.
The apartment is located up a winding path through the steep wild terraced garden and there are steps, so would not be suitable for the elderly or infirm.
A private drive gives access for one car to the private parking space
The raised patio area is a real suntrap
For our guests who like to cycle, we provide secure storage for your cycles and a hose to hose off the mud !!!
and previous guests have told us how much they enjoyed the local cycle routes and tramways.

The terraced path is shared with the owners.
This is strictly a NON SMOKING property
No pets will be allowed
A £150 damage holding fee will be required on booking. This will be refunded on inspection of the property when vacated.
We do not accept more than two people in total in this property.
We wish to maintain our high standards and ensure that the presentation of this property is to the total comfort of our guests at all times, which is why we insist on the above conditions.

Conditions

25% Deposit required at the time of booking. Full payment becomes due 6 weeks before first day of booking date.
If booked less than six weeks before start date, full payment will be required at the time of booking.

The Damages Deposit holding fee of £150 is due by separate cheque, when you pay the FULL balance. This deposit cheque will be presented for payment.
