Waters Edge is literally that; a fantastic family holiday home situated directly on the beach just a stones throw away from the waters edge! Step out of your front door onto the beach and enjoy the convenience of this beach front location.

Portreath is a small village nestled between the cliffs on the North coast of Cornwall with a small harbour, long sandy beach and waves made for surfing and body boarding. The village itself is small and friendly with several shops, cafes and pubs. There is a nearby 'watering hole' in the middle of the beach and just a few yards from the property.

Within a short drive of Portreath you will find other activities including swimming pools, squash, badminton, outdoor bowls, horse riding and a choice of 6 golf courses. The National Trust coast path is also close by and provides some breathtaking scenery along the spectacular cliffs of North Cornwall. Inland there are wooded and parkland walks where wild flowers and many species of birds are a twitchers delight.

For younger guests, a cot and high chair can be provided.

Portreath

Nestled peacefully between the sea and majestic cliffs, Portreath favours a secluded spot with a small harbour and beautiful sandy beach, just perfect for family days out and watersports fanatics. If taking to the water isn’t your thing then there is plenty to excite you back on dry land. Horse riding, fishing, golf, painting and walking are just a few of the activities on offer as well as many National Trust days out to stimulate your imagination.

Just a few miles further up the coast and situated very slightly inland you’ll find the ancient mining town of St Agnes. A friendly and peaceful village with a road leading down to a quiet cove about ½ mile away. A short walk out of the town takes you to the St Agnes Beacon, an impressive landmark 628ft high that, should you climb to the top, will reward you with some truly spectacular panoramic views across the Cornish countryside.

"You could have told us about the building work next door!"

Our two week family holiday at Waters Edge was impacted on dramatically by the owners decision not to tell us about building work that was being carried out at the 2 properties next door to Waters Edg… More

Many thanks for your feedback regarding Waters Edge and also for your validation that the property is exactly as described. At Blue Chip Holidays we take all feedback very seriously and I can assure you that our Customer Care Team always investigate any points raised. Waters Edge's close proximity to the beach makes it a very popular family destination and given the time of year and great weather, we would expect to see a busy beach. Unfortunately, issues such as neighbour's carrying out home improvements are completely beyond both our and the property owner's control, however your images did show that the windows could be opened at the property. Blue Chip Holidays and the owners of Waters Edge have since made you a gesture of goodwill in relation to the disappointment you encountered during your holiday. I hope this gesture outlines our commitment to delivering holiday experiences at the very highest standard. Blue Chip Holidays
