Seaside cottage has amazing views from the garden and we chose it because it is a genuine Cornish cottage offering comfortable accommodation for all the family.
Just a few minutes stroll to the beach, harbour pubs and restaurants will make this a popular year round holiday cottage.
The house has a wonderful terrace for BBQ's and with some good binoculars whale or dolphin watch until the magnificent sunset arrives.
From Portreath you have easy access to the South West Coastal path and within good distance of all of Cornwall's attractions.
Portreath has a lovely sandy beach popular for swimming and surfing. The village has a varied selection of shops and cafes, making Portreath one of the prettiest seaside resorts in Cornwall.

The Portreath area
Portreath is a summer retreat with its secluded sandy beaches and a stream running to the sea on one side. It is ideal for swimming, surfing and windsailing in safety, watched by the local Surf and Life Saving Club. Portreath offers the pleasures of sea and countryside with beautiful views, spectacular cliffs and walking trails. Illogan Woods is adjacent to Portreath with lovely streams and a circular walk leading to the 14th century church tower of Illogan.
There is also Tehidy Country Park just outside of Portreath with its adjoining golf-course. It is a beautiful country park comprised of 250 acres of woodland, lakes, bridleways, cycling and nature trails. There are several ponds and a lake with swans and various kinds of waterfowl.

We booked our stay through Pure Cornwall who could not have been more helpful. The cottage was clean with ample space for a grown up family of 5 to stay comfortably. Seaside cottage is conveniently close to Portreath with a wealth of eateries near by and a very good bakers, selling delicious pasties and homebaked bread and cakes. The cottage garden is cut into the hillside, but the walk to the top is well worth the stunning veiw of the ocean. |
