Glendfeadon Villa, Portreath, is a cosy 100yr old traditional stone built, end of terrace, three bedroomed cottage, which has recently been completely renovated to a high standard whilst still keeping its original character.

Accommodation Information:

On entering the property the entrance hall leads into the lounge which features a stone fireplace, incorporating a clear glass multi fuelled stove for those chillier days, with a wall mounted electric heater also fitted. There are two comfy corduroy sofas and a matching pouffe, on the wall is 30" flat screen TV with DVD player. The kitchen-diner leads from the lounge and has a high quality built in fridge, dishwasher, microwave and oven with eye level grill. There is a ceramic hob with a good selection of kitchen units, and a square white china sink and draining area. Also within the room is a beautiful solid oak dining table and 6 matching chairs. The kitchen is comprehensively equipped with all tableware, cookware, cleaning supplies and a toaster and electric kettle. Between the kitchen and the ground floor bathroom is a small utility room with washing machine, and tumble dyer. The bathroom has an over bath electric shower with a glass screen, WC, hand basin, and heated towel rail.

The secure rear enclosed paved patio area leads off the kitchen double doors. It features a compact, wall mounted clothes dryer, teak table and six chairs, with a sun parasol available. There is also a barbecue available in the garden shed.

From the entrance hall the stairs lead to the bedrooms, and second bathroom. Bedroom one is a compact child's room with bunk beds and a glimpse of the sea. Bedroom two features a lovely solid oak double bed, a double wardrobe, a dressing table and two bedside tables with lamps, also with a similar glimpse of the sea. The master bedroom, again has a lovely solid oak double bed, built-in wardrobes, a dressing table and two bedside tables with lamps. This room also features a balcony with double doors over looking the rear patio area and a wall mounted TV. The upstairs bathroom has a large walk in electric shower, WC, hand basin and heated towel rail.

The property is carpeted throughout the bedrooms, hallway, stairs and living room and all windows and doors are double glazed. Each room has an electric wall mounted heater with individual controls for your comfort. The electric meter in the entrance hall has £15 of credit at the start of your holiday, which you can top-up at the village store if required. All household towels and linens are supplied.

Outside there is off-road parking for two vehicles and unrestricted on-road parking. Glenfeadon Villa is situated in a quiet residential area of the village, with a short level walk to the beach, harbour and village facilities.

Portreath is a great holiday destination all year round, it's main feature being its beautiful sandy beach which is one of the safest in the county, being patrolled by highly qualified RNLI lifeguards throughout the season. Many Cornish coastal villages have become over-commercialised but Portreath has managed to avoid this. It is a very family friendly resort which does not suffer from any rowdy nightlife establishments. At its heart is an historic harbour which was one of the busiest in Cornwall at the height of the tin mining era, sending ore to Wales for smelting and receiving coal in return to fuel the steam pumping engines. A handful of local fisherman still ply their trade from here today, supplying their fresh catch of the day to the local pubs. Portreath has 3 popular pubs, a renowned bakery, a Chinese takeway, an 8 till late local convenience store incorporating a post office, a children's play area, surf shops and much more. Either side of the village are spectacular coastal walks along rugged cliffs, leading to Hayle and St.Ives to the south and Newquay in the North via St.Agnes. There is also a restored historic mineral tramway which travels coast to coast across Cornwall, terminating 12 miles away at Devoran. Being a tramway it has no steep hills but is great for walking, cycling or horse riding and passes through beautiful countryside. The village is served with a reliable bus service and local taxis. Parking is generally not a problem and there is a large car park right next to the beach.
