The Corsica region
The southeast of Corsica is original in two respects : its famous sand beaches and clear waters, and very nice mountains of the Alta Rocca. In summer, air is very hot during the day, but nights are cool because of the mountain air, and many guests switch the air con off during sleep. Nice people, good food and excellent local wines are also features of the area. Absence of pollution also attracts distinctive holidaymakers to Corsica.
Porto-Vecchio / La Trinite area
Snorkelling, sailing, golf (Sperone golf course 30 minutes), horse riding, canyoning, walking, climbing, fishing, waterskiing, cycling, tennis, relaxing...All these activities and more are available in the area around Porto Vecchio.
Porto Vecchio is 5 minutes drive from the house, and Bonifacio 45 minutes. When living at Villa Rossa, most people prefer to stay at home to enjoy the view and the swimming pool. However, many beaches are accessible by car, so other guests may enjoy a different beach every day.
For those who enjoy night life, many places open from june to september, while good taste shopping is available yearlong.
