Panoramic house on Argentario
from £89 /night help
House | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 6
A delightful home for your holiday, cool and airy, with a stunning view over the coast and the close islands of Giglio and Giannutri. Peace and panorama are the best words to describe it.
The house is spacious, comfortable and completely furnished. The ceiling of the living room is that of the 1st floor, so you can overlook it from upstairs. The floor of the living area is very peculiar and amazing: tree slices.
In the rooms there are beds for six people, but two young more can be arranged on mattresses on the floor.
There is an adjacent large patio for summer living and dining. Also a smaller separate roofed table is besides the wood-burning oven/grill in the garden, so there are three different dining areas .
The property is wide and encloses a small wood and a terraced garden; in June and September there are usually in abundance green figs.
There is an inside parking area for two cars.
The closest beach is 10' on foot and 3' by car, rocky and wonderful. A more sandy one with bar service is 5' by car and 20' on foot. Both beaches are closed by electric gates to public; the key is furnished.
The town of Porto S. Stefano is 15' by car; in that port you can find ferry boats to the near islands, sailing cruises, and bus service to Orbetello and Porto Ercole.
Orbetello town is 30' by car. It's amazing in that's built in the middle of a lagoon and fitted with monuments left by the Spanish domination. Also you can find 5' from there the train station.
Porto Ercole is also 30' by car; peculiar its old houses and the fortresses of emperor Charles V.
Close to it is the best sandy beach, the long Feniglia, that on its back closes a side of the lagoon and that's part of a protected park and served by bus, shuttle and parking. Also there's a bike rental for riding in the pine wood of the park.
Another very long sandy beach, 25' from the house, is that of Giannella, on the nearest side of the lagoon.
When the weather is bad, or by night with the moon, it's recommend a relaxing dip in the warm waters of the Terme di Saturnia; it's some 1,5 hours by car, but it's worth it.
