This comfortably furnished, air-conditioned, two bedroom apartment with allocated parking facilities is part of a gated complex of nine, situated in the unspoilt pretty harbour village of Porto Petro, which is not a tourist resort making it ideal for winter breaks as well. Adjacent to the complex is the luxurious 5Star Blau Hotel with many facilities (including a 'well-being Spa') and a number of restaurants offering fine-dining options.

The apartment is fully air-conditioned and centrally heated.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, night tables, built in wardrobes, dressing table and mirror. (This bedroom has French doors that open on to a terrace with sea views and overlooking the garden patio area).
Bedroom 2 has two single beds, night table, built in wardrobes, dressing table and mirror.
There is a modern en-suite shower room/toilet off Bedroom 1. Additionally there is another modern Family shower room/toilet.
The apartment has a large living/dining room with French doors that open on to a spacious terrace furnished with occasional table/chairs. This terrace leads down onto a garden patio for ‘al fresco’ dining where you will find a large six seater mahogany patio table and chairs, plus a small occasional table/chairs and a BBQ. The living area has two comfortable sofas, coffee table, reading lamp, satellite TV, music centre, DVD/CD/iPod player and a few board games and paperbacks/magazines. The dining area has a dining table to seat 4 plus a two-seater bench.
The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, large modern fridge-freezer, electric oven, hob, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and coffee machine. Kitchen is fully stocked with all kitchen utensils, cutlery and dinner service. The utility room contains washing machine, clothes horse, wash sink, ironing board, hoover.
Bed linen and bath towels provided. Weekly linen change and apartment cleaned on departure.

Conditions
There is a 25% non-refundable deposit payable on booking with the full balance due 6 weeks prior to departure. In addition there is a deposit of £100 for damage which is refundable.

The Mallorca/Majorca region
Porto Petro is a small unspoilt fishing village made up of some white washed houses/apartments and restaurants grouped around a small pretty harbour which is filled with a combination of small boats and some very chic pleasure crafts; as this is the home of the Real Club Nautic de Porto Petro (Royal Sailing club). Boat hire, and boat trips are also available here.
The apartment would suit most ages, but regrettably has no wheelchair access. It is a great base to explore the south east part of the island and is ideally situated within a short stroll from the harbour front where one would find good fish restaurants as well as a number of friendly family restaurants and café-bars. Adjacent to the apartment complex is the luxurious Blau Hotel with a number of restaurants offering fine-dining options.
Porto Petro also boasts two small adequately supplied supermarkets, a bank, a pharmacy, hair-dresser and a church.

Golf: Vall d’or golf course is approximately 20 mins away.
Island of Cabrera Natural Park .
Cala Mondrago Natural Park- ( One can ride a a train to this area).
Saturday Market in Santanyi in the village square (5km away)/and a larger Sunday Market in Felanitx (25km away).
Daily trips in the summer to Cala Ferreira on the Star-fish boat.
Dive school open in the peak season.
Fine- dining at the Luxury Blau hotel.

Porto Petro is about 50 minutes drive from Palma airport. Taxi and car hire is available at the airport. Porto Petro is about 3 km from Cala D’or, Cala Egos and Cala Mondrago. A small delightful road-train operates an hourly service via Porto Petro to these various areas. Cala d’Or is where one can find a busier centre to shop, eat and enjoy some nightlife.
Car hire is not essential, but highly recommended to give access to exploring the beautiful coves and beaches in the surrounding areas. If you plan to hire a car we would recommend that one does this prior to ones travel and remember that the hire car companies are based in the baggage collection area at Palma airport before the exit!

We stayed here for 7 nights with 2 small children in October 2011. The apartment is located is the small fisher village of Porto Petro, the beautiful East coast of Mallorca. Due to it's location, a car is not necessary but helpful to explore the wider area. In the village everything is within walking distance, the beach, a SPA of a 5 star hotel, restaurants and water sports. The apartment itself was perfectly kitted out for our stay and was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. It is an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area and offers incredible value for money; We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to this part of Mallorca. |
