The Peloponnese region

The southernmost geographic section of mainland Greece, originally the Peloponnese was an island but intense geological upheavals in the region twice united and separated it from the mainland. Later, a drop in sea level formed the Isthmus of Corinth. This land bridge was excavated in the late 19th century to make the Corinth canal, making the Peloponnese an island yet again.

The Peloponnese has beautiful mountains, many ancient historical sites,beautiful beaches and scenery ,friendly people and many traditions.

Porto Heli area

Porto Heli is a picturesque village which developed in a tourist centre .It is a unique and a bright spot because of its 350 days of sunshine... Porto Heli has many qualities that has made this little village of fishermen, a unique summer holiday centre.

It has high class resorts and many luxurious villas..it attracts quality tourism (both Greek and International) .
Next to it, you can easily go by "boat taxi" to the cosmopolitan islands of Spetses (10 minutes) and Hydra (20 minutes),the town of Kranidi (capital of the area)-10 minutes, the city of Naplion (first capital of Greece)-1 hour,the archaeological sites of Epidaurus and Mycenae-1 hour away etc...

How to get there

Porto Heli is around 160 kms from Athens International Airport. You can reach it either by car (2.5 hours), bus or by a Catamaran from the port of Piraeus (2 hours)..
