This apartment is situated in the historic centre of Porto, classified as world heritage by UNESCO, the Douro, in Rua Sá da Bandeira which is considered one of the most charismatic areas of the city as it is the home to the theatres of Sá da Bandeira, Coliseu, and Rivoli. It is very close to ( 30 meter ) Avenida dos Aliados, the principal avenue in the heart of the city, Sao Bento train and underground station, D. João I, square and the Ribeira ,Porto Cathedral which is one of the main tourist attractions on the River Douro . This two bed roomed apartment (110m2) is in a renovated historic building, and can accommodate 4 to 6 people. It consists of a living room with sofa bed, a fully furnished and equipped kitchen with microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and coffee percolator and a bathroom. Bed linen, towels, crockery, cooking utensils, ironing board and iron are provided. TV, Radio, DVD. and internet access are also available With a bus stop at the door and underground and train station 2minutes away, its excellent location allows easy mobility around the city Its ideal location is perfect for anyone wanting a city based apartment for holidays not only to explore the beautiful and historic city of Porto, but also the many beaches to be found along the coastline such as Gaia, Foz and Matosinhos. It is also an ideal base for visiting some of the other important cities close by such as Guimarães which is considered the birth place of Portugal and where the first King of Portugal built his castle. The Port District is a dynamic center of commerce and industry , full of beautiful towns and thriving cities . Along the coast , you can pause the resort town of Espinho , enjoy tasty fish in Matosinhos or spend some relaxing moments at the Casino da Póvoa . For the interior , there is the beautiful town of Amarante , known for delicious pastries , which can take a stroll along the river between Támega manors of the seventeenth century .
How sights, highlight the Tower of Clerics , Serralves Foundation , a museum of contemporary art and the Museum of Contemporary Art, one of the most visited museums in the country , where works of art of various contemporary artists are also exhibited alongside flora typical of northern Portugal in engaging Serralves Park .
The Foz is another highly touristic area , considered by many the most beautiful area of ??the city , where you can enjoy the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean coupled with a beautiful and romantic promenade . The Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá is another typical dish born in Porto and popular in Portugal . A drink that has the name of the city is the port wine and is produced in the Alto Douro wine region ( the oldest wine region in the world) . Port wine is exported internationally from the cellars which are situated on the left bank of the River Douro in Vila Nova de Gaia .

The photoes looked lovely. The apartment is roomy but well overdo for a remake. Carpets worn, bathroom and shower shabby, plates chipped, etc. It is certainly very central but is also very noisy wi… More
