Northern Mountains region
This flat is located in the UNESCO Heritage old centre of Porto, in Portugal. It's a few minutes away from Ribeira, by the river Douro, where there are restaurants, bars and a great view of the river and bridge. Walking uphill you come to the downtown area, where every night you have a thriving night life. Nearby you should visit the train station of São Bento, the Cathedral and walk around the old narrow streets around it. There is also the Clerigos tower, the beatiful Lello bookshop, where you can buy excellent art books and books about Porto.
From here you can also walk over the bridge to visit the Portwine cellars or take a boat upriver to the Douro wine area. From the station, you can take a train to go to the excellent beaches southern of Porto. There's a lot to do here, these are but a few suggestions!
Around the flat you have a small supermarket and several specialty shops where you can find really good souvenirs like small bottles of our excellent Portwine and Olive Oil, or the portuguese jewelry. You should also not miss a visit to the Palácio da Bolsa, just on the other side of the square in front of the Pátio.
