Three double bedroom, for 6 persons, city center, near to Casa da Música

The apartment has three double bedroom. The lounge has patio doors opening on to a lovely terrace area. The kitchen is fully equipped and fitted for cooking meals to eat on the terrace or in the dining area. The bathroom has the luxury of a bath as well as a shower, plus there is a separate toilet & sink. There is also heating in this brand new Oporto apartment.

The apartment is located near to 'Casa da Música'. It is close to Rotunda da Boavista, (the very centre of the city) and near to Foz (Beach & Sea). The apartment is surrounded by metro & bus stops to take you around the rest of the city, if you choose not to walk, (including a direct metro line to the airport and beach!)

Porto (Portuguese pronunciation: [portu]), also known as Oporto in English, is the second-largest city in Portugal, after Lisbon, and one of the major urban areas in Southern Europe and the capital of second major great urban area in Portugal. Its administrative limits (an area of 41.66 km²/16 sq.mi) include a population of 237,584 (2011) inhabitants distributed within 15 civil parishes. The urban area of Porto, which extends beyond the administrative limits of the city, has a population of 1.3 million (2011 in an area of 389 km2 (150 sq mi), making it the second-largest urban area in Portugal. Located along the Douro river estuary in northern Portugal, Porto is one of the oldest European centres, and registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Its settlement dates back many centuries, when it was an outpost of the Roman Empire. Its Latin name, Portus Cale has been referred to as the origin for the name "Portugal", based on transliteration and oral evolution from Latin. In Portuguese the name of the city is spelled with a definite article as "o Porto" (English: the port). Consequently, its English name evolved from a misinterpretation of the oral pronunciation and referred to as "Oporto" in modern literature and by many speakers.

One of Portugal's internationally famous exports, port wine, is named for Porto, since the metropolitan area, and in particular the adegas of Vila Nova de Gaia, were responsible for the production and export of the fortified wine.

"Lovely spacious apartment,very conveniently located."

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Boavista, Porto. It was very spacious, clean and modern and situated in a quiet residential area. Excellent transport links and very well located for visiting all of Porto's attractions (walking, metro, bus). The owner, Paulo was really helpful and efficient. We would definitely stay here again and hope to return to Porto.
