This unique property also has a few hidden gems, 'Rui' is at your disposal to help you, whether for your shopping, or host a BBQ for you and also he can drive the minibus which is available to clients staying at Casa Pleau for days out. Finally, next to Casa Pleau is a modern and very recently renovated beauty parlour, with massage, manicurist and pedicurist, all at very competitive rates.

The living space hosts a dining room, lounge, and TV room, kitchen on ground floor and mini kitchen on top terrace for BBQs. This old style building has thick walls and stays cooler than modern villas; however there is central heating for the winter.

Outside is a heated private pool with Jacuzzi, toilet, shower, sun beds tables and chairs. There are a number of different terraces offering shade or sun, some of sun terraces with view on the beach and the sea. Also outside are the BBQ and outdoor kitchen, garage and parking space, shed with mountain bikes, beach toys and parasols.

The Algarve / West Algarve region
The weather is great most of the year (average yearly temperature 22.3C). April/May/October/November its in the lower 20sC, June/July/August/September upper 20sC - 35C or more. If you are lucky you can lay on the beach enjoying the sun on Christmas day.
The area is filled with history. Why not go and explore some of the beautiful villages and towns that Portugal has to offer. You can visit the most westerly point in Europe - Cape St Vincent, see the natural springs in the Monchique mountains, visit some of the town markets and by the way Lisbon is only 2.5 hours away by car for the those who want to go a bit further, or Spain at just over an 1 hour away.
The Portimao / Praia da Rocha area
Portimão are in the heart or the Algarve, it. a. very vivid city in which a destiny or activities are organised. This mouthful paunch throughout all the year, but mainly in the summer. A destiny or the activities are on the beach.
Portimão has 2 gorgeous beaches: Praia da Rocha and Praia the Alvor. Both or them sacrifice a destiny or activities and services to the tourists. The cultural heritage are also magnificent. For instance the church: 'Nuestra Señora the drawer Concepción.
Portimão are in the province or 'Rio Arade' which are a true paradise for wildlife lovers. You can enjoy lots or birds complete, ash well ash the riverbed in which you can go by boat.
The many sports including over 30 golf courses and cultural activities that take place in Portimão are worth a visit. Examples or these: boardercross, kitesurfing, windsurfing, jazz festival and the Mediterranean music.

This villa is a refurbished and extended 1930's property just out of the main part of Praia da Roche. Its situation was perfect for us; quiet locality but within sight of the beach and a very short walk to all local amenities (and the regular local bus service into Portimao). It has two downstairs lounges and a dining room although these were barely used because we spent most non-sleeping hours outside. This included a wrap around terrace and a small pool which was cleaned daily. The 5 first floor bedrooms were all spacious and one had a further terrace. And for the teenager who accompanied us we had a second floor self contained apartment (small sleeping area, kitchen, toilet and shower room and balcony). All was decorated and fitted to a very high standard, indeed the glass furnishing and multiplicity of ornaments left us with a (misplaced) damages with two young children running around. A concierge service was provided by Rui - he was hugely helpful and friendly and he provided all necessary transport to the supermarket and water park.All in all it made for an excellent family holiday and we will treasure the memories. The only downside is the fact that the villa is now surrounded by apartment blocks. But that is true of anywhere in Praia Da Rocha and for us it was a price worth paying for the easy access to local amenities and beach. |
