The West Country region

The South-West of England, especially Cornwall is an ideal holiday location due to its dramatic coastline and beautiful countryside. The miles of fine sandy beaches provide a perfect destination for family beach and activity holidays as well as being the ideal place to just relax and unwind.

Porthtowan

Porthtowan is a coastal village on the North Coast of Cornwall. It lies half way between Newquay and St. Ives making it an ideal location to visit the Cornish Attractions. The village has a food store, post office, surf shops, hair dressers, 3 pubs with restaurants and a cafe. The beach is a superb surfing beach for all abilities. There are surf schools and surf hire in the village. The beach is lifeguarded from Easter to October. There are fantastic views from the cliffs of St. Ives bay to St. Agnes headland. Porthtowan lies on the National Trust Coast Path with spectacular walks to Chapel Porth and Portreath.

"All you need"

Cozy and complete, this little apartment has everything you need for a nice weekend at the beach, with a bonus - a sea view from the kitchen that allows you to see instantly if the surf is on!… More

"Lovely cottage on a beach"

The cottage is in a great location close to a great surf break. The cottage is cosy, warm and well equipped in a quiet location. If you surf, the cottage has plenty of space outside to dry wetsuits and equipment. The price of the cottage makes it affordable and a great choice for a short break or surf trip. Porthtowen has a number of surf shops, pubs and other facilities required for a short break. I would highly recommend this cottage.

"Great apartment, great location!"

The apartment was very clean when we came. The kitchen was fully fitted and everything was provided. The apartment is only a few minute walk to the beach and the beautiful cliff of Porthowan. If you wanna visit other parts of Cornwall, it only takes maximum one hour (travelling by car). The host was very supportive and flexible.

"Magnificent house in beautiful location"

Truly wonderful and best place in terms of value for money.
Only thing is that you'd need a car to commute because there's no public transport nor train station.
Lovely and nice landlord!
