Newhaven is a spacious family holiday home that is ideally situated in the popular 18th Century fishing village of Porthleven, near Helston in Cornwall. Renowned as a holiday destination, Porthleven offers tranquil surroundings, excellent food and fantastic sea views - the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

With a view of the harbour head from the master bedroom, Newhaven can accommodate parties of six to eight guests in three bedrooms and has a good sized secluded private front garden with patio and barbeque - ideal for alfresco dining.

Located just a two minute walk from the harbours edge and five minutes from a long sandy beach which stretches miles along the coast to the famous Loe Bar, this is the perfect place to spend a family holiday by the sea.

Porthleven is a beautiful village which has managed to retain its wonderful Cornish charm and avoid being spoilt. It has much to offer with a supermarket, restaurants, fisherman's pubs, many interesting quayside shops to browse selling arts and crafts and a post office. Here you can spend many an hour strolling around the harbour and watching the boats bobbing up and down on the water, or the fishermen returning home to unload their daily catch. Alternatively, just sit back and take in the breathtaking views out to sea and across Mounts Bay.

It is no surprise that Porthleven is popular with visitors all year around. During the summer months, the cliff tops are dotted with an abundance of wild flowers and in the winter, the dramatic sea makes a fantastic back drop for walkers enjoying the coastal path that stretches from Lands End to The Lizard.

The pretty bustling market town of Helston is only two miles away and offers plenty for visitors of all ages. The town has an interesting mix of Georgian and Victorian architecture and offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Being the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula and the Helford River, the Helford Valley has many beautiful villages to visit, set amongst wonderful rolling countryside.
