The Cornwall region
Cornwall is the most southerly English county with many interesting places to visit. There are numerous quaint fishing villages, rugged coves, country and coastal walks and beautiful beaches.
Porthleven is an unspoilt fishing village with working harbour and several miles of sand/shingle beach. There is a supermarket, Post Office and several shops catering for all your basic needs as well as galleries, gift shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes.
It is ideally situated to explore many of the landmark attractions in the area - Lands End, The Lizard peninsula, Penzance, St. Micheal's Mount, Falmouth, St. Ives and the historic city of Truro are all no more than a 20/30 minute drive.

"what an absolute find!!"
We love porthleven , & maybe we are shooting ourselves in the foot here, because we WILL be returning to this property, but the old chapel is a gem amongst cottages. from our initial contact with our enquiry, until walking into the property, we can only say, first class. it may have been nov when we visited, but the cottage was cosy & very well heated. In fact we had to keep turning the heating down, as it was too warm at times! we had to drag ourselves away from the view at times. basically, it was perfect for us as walkers, the only decision to make out of the cottage was, do we turn right or left!,

This was the first time we had visited Porthleven and the Old Chapel made our holiday wonderful. The balcony right over the beach is absolutely beautiful and has amazing views. The house is very comfortable and the little touches, like being welcomed with a bottle of wine, make it very special. We would certainly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday with breathtaking views of the sea.
