An eight minute walk from the stunning Rest Bay Beach, this 1st floor apartment is has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The accommodation comprises of one double bedroom and one twin with 2 single beds. A comfortable sitting/dining room, a well equipped kitchen and spacious family bathroom.
Rest Bay, is a beautiful, sandy, west facing, blue flag beach on the 'Glamorgan Heritage Coast'. At nearly two miles long it offers plenty of opportunities for everyone whether family's looking for that perfect beach holiday or, surfers in search of some excitement at one of South Wales best known surf spots, safe in the knowledge that during the summer months there is a manned life guard station. It is also excellent for beach casting for Sea Bass, 'rock pooling' or just relaxing.
For the golfer the area is well catered with four excellent courses including The Royal Porthcawl, probably one of the best courses in Wales. The flat is perfectly situated to enjoy the nearby Kenfig Pool Nature Reserve with its lake and sand dunes. It is also not far to the beautiful Gower Peninsular and Brecon Beacons.
If your looking for a bit more culture then Cardiff and Swansea are both very close, well under an hour by either train or car.

The Vale of Glamorgan region
Situated on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, '35 miles of dramatic cliffs, golden beaches, pretty villages and traditional resorts.' Porthcawl is a popular holiday destination in South Wales. With 3 excellent beaches it is a favourite area for all types whether lazing on the beach, surfing or just rock pooling it is fun for everyone.
Not far away is the gorgeous Gower Peninsular, with more great beaches.
You are of course close the Brecon Beacons National Park, with great days out walking or visits to the Dan-yr-Ogof show caves.
Nottage, with village store and two good pubs. 4 min drive or 15 minute walk.
Porthcawl town center 4 minute drive or 20 mins on foot along the sea front, a lovely stroll on a summers evening.
Swansea city centre is 19 miles and a 30 minute drive.
Finally the capital of Wales, Cardiff. Lots of things to see and do including the Bay Area development, with lots of shops and restaurants and the millennium centre. The national museum of Wales and about 30 miles a 37 minute drive, but you can always catch a train from Pyle.
Coney Beach Fair.
Coney Beach Amusement Park is at the heart of Porthcawl and sits on Sandy Bay, which is one of seven bays at this historical South Wales seaside town. The Parks' own beach is nearly a mile long and a magnet for surfers and bathers alike with lifeguards on duty during the summer months and with donkey rides, bouncy castles and trampolines ideal as a safe family destination.
The flat is perfectly situated to enjoy the nearby Kenfig Pool Nature Reserve with its lake and sand dunes concealing the historic walled town of Kenfig. It is also not far to the beautiful Gower Peninsular or even the Brecon Beacons.
The Promenade Princess Road Train runs along the promenade from Rest Bay to Coney Beach throughout the summer.
The Kenfig National Nature Reserve on the coast near Porthcawl is one of the country's most important nature reserves. Covering 1300 acres, it boasts one of the finest Wildlife habitats in Wales and one of the last remnants of a huge sand dune system that once stretched along the coast of Southern Wales. The reserve is home to unique wild orchids, as well as insects and wildlife
For the golfer the area is well catered with four excellent courses.
The grove - 8 mins by car
Pyle and kenfig - a superb links course. 10 mins by car
Southern down golf club - a sandy links with part acid-heathland. 20 mins by car
The Royal Porthcawl - Probably one of the best courses in Wales it has hosted the walker cup (1995) and in 2014 will hold the senior open championship. 5 mins by car
Also 45 minutes by car is Celtic manor which hosted the 2010 Ryder cup.
