Welcome to Porth and its golden sands! It is reputed to be the oldest part of Newquay and it is here that the original safe harbour was situated prior to the ‘new quay’ being constructed to the west in the 1400s. In contrast to nearby Newquay, Porth lies quietly at the gateway to a stretch of stunning coastline and provides an excellent location to explore what Cornwall has to offer. It also lies on the Cornwall Coastal Path if you should feel inclined to stretch your legs.
Completed in June 2009 this self catering beach front holiday apartment has an ocean-facing balcony and rear sun terrace, located truly within a stone's throw of Porth beach with stunning uninterrupted views across it to the headland and Atlantic Ocean beyond.
This luxury two bedroom beach-side apartment is designed and furnished to a high specification with open plan living space, oak flooring to the living areas and under floor heating throughout, three and two seater leather settees, Wi-fi available, 32” flat screen television, DVD player, radio and iPod dock. Fully folding doors open onto the ocean facing balcony with table and chairs. The dining area has a table and seating for 4 and there is a fully fitted kitchen with oven/hob, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and granite worktops. In the master bedroom there is a king size bed, fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinets, wall mounted flat screen TV/DVD and iPod dock, and an en suite shower room with heated towel rail. The second bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinet and wall mounted flat screen TV/DVD. There is also a separate bathroom with a bath and shower over and heated towel rail.
There is lift access to all floors, a CCTV/telephone entry system and an outdoor courtyard shower together with a convenient store to leave your surf/body boards, wet suits, buckets and spades. There is an allocated parking space
Porth beach itself is a tranquil haven for those discerning visitors seeking a quiet family friendly beach with safe lifeguard supervised bathing (in season between 10am-6pm) and traditional beach-side enjoyment with rock pools to explore and streams to dam. For the more adventurous, only minutes away are the world renowned surfing beaches of Whipsiderry and Watergate Bay, internationally recognised for not only its extreme sports but also Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant. A short drive up the coast towards Padstow is the area patronised by celebrities who truly appreciate what a traditional Cornish seaside holiday can offer. For those who may choose to sample the Newquay experience, it is an approximate 25 minute stroll across the cliff path to the west.

"Great for young families"
The beach is very close and the flat works well. We liked the storage area for wetsuits etc. Close enough to Newquay to get pizza, far enough away to be relaxed.

"A beautiful apartment with stunning scenery"
I have always been very happy with Kim's apartment. It is spotlessly clean and stocked with all the essentials I could want. It's in a perfect position for shops which are less than a mile away, or a little more to go into Newquay for the bigger supermarkets.
This apartment is set in the most beautiful position right on Porth beach. It's a lovely sandy beach, very popular with surfers, and when the tide is out you can walk all the way into Newquay. The coastal path walks are absolutely amazing - such stunning scenery and the
beauty of the ocean!
I have no hesitation to returning to this apartment which gives me and my 2 sons all we could wish for in comfort, peace and quiet and fresh air and exercise.

"Great for autumn/winter break"
We have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing five days at Apartment 7, Porth Sands. The apartment was very cosy, comfortable and warm and we were able to take advantage of the balcony which is very sheltered and enjoyed some late afternoon sunshine. We used our bus pass to travel from Porth to Padstow, Wadebridge and the beautiful village of St Mawgan. We had a very good meal at the nearby Watermark Brasserie at the Glendorgal Hotel and also at the Mermaid Inn on the other side of the beach. Would thoroughly recommend this apartment for an autumn/winter break – it really is a home from home.
Thank you for your review. We do try to make the apartment as comfortable as possible for our guests and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay.

"Top quality accommodation in ideal location"
We have just enjoyed an excellent week's break in Apartment 7, Porth Sands.
The accommodation is excellent - spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated well-sized rooms that are fully equipped with all your home from home requirements together with those little extra bits that you need for a beach holiday.
The view from the apartment over Porth is spectacular and the location means that even on those rainy days you are never too far from alternative forms of entertainment for the kids.
Kim responded to questions within hours which was great and very reassuring.
We would definitely go back again!

"Wow best apartment ever stayed in could not of asked for more"
This apartment is truely AMAZING stayed in many apartment within porth and this is by far the best, has everything and more than you could possibly want or need while away, the owners have taken great care and thought into providing an amazing home from home.
Their wasn't anything about the apartment that i didn't like but many things i loved, the best feature of the apartment is when you open the doors fully to the balcony it really does bring the beach inside the apartment to you, the whole apartment has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard, 2 bathrooms that are great, under floor heating for colder times, wi-fi, ipod dock, dvd player all provided, even a storage room with everything for the beach should you wish to use it, also the owner provides great communication with you through the whole booking even making sure eveything was ok for us during our stay.
Their really is only one word to describe this apartment and it honestly is AMAZING i will be recommending it to everyone wanting to go to cornwall its a great location for getting all over and i have to say i can't wait to book my next stay here.

"Comfortable apartment with a lovely view"
We stayed in the apartment for a week, but wished been able to stay for two. It was lovely to sit in a bright airy apartment with the doors to the balcony fully open so it felt like you were outside listening to the sea on the beach below. The tide goes a long way out, so there is a big beach at low tide and is just lovley when it comes in and you can sit on a warm sunny balcony to watch it. From the aprtment you can walk in two directions either to Lusty Glaze or to Watergate Bay which is further afield in the other direction. We were also fortunate to walk up onto the headland and watch the sunset. On our arrival Kim, the owner was there to meet us and show us where everything was and hand over the keys which was a nice personal touch. Kim also gave us ideas of places to visit and good places to eat. My Facebbook status on our first night there - sitting with the balcony doors fully open, listening to waves below and watching Team GB win gold after gold - life is perfect!

"Wish I was there now!"
I can only reiterate what others have said before me. The location was super - we were overlooking the beach which allowed us to give the boys (11 and 9)some independence as they could then go rock pooling, climb rocks etc whilst we sat on the balcony drinking coffee and stuffing a cream tea!
The apartment itself was fab - immaculate, with everything that was needed - a lovely touch was the bottle of local cider and local cookies left for us by Kim. In fact, Kim was great to deal with - from our first email to the return of the bond. The balcony was so relaxing for evening drinks, but the patio area, which is accessed through the patio doors in the bedrooms, was a lovely place to drink in the morning sun.
Porth was an ideal place to stay - there were plenty of coastal walks to choose from and Newquay was just a mile and a quarter away. The little cafe on the beach served breakfasts, paninis, lattes, and buckets and spades. Domino's delivered as did several local Indian restaurants.
Best things? Pasties in Padstow, Newquay Zoo, Fistral beach, the walk to Newquay every morning for some fresh bread.....I wish I was there now! We'll be back!

"Superb, Top Class Holiday Let"
A 1st floor apartment, very clean, very comfortable and furnished to a very high standard with all amenities.
Consists of spacious lounge/dining area/kitchen. Two double size bedrooms, one en-suite with shower and the second bed has use of seperate bathroom.
A spacious balcony gives view of close by sandy beach and sea which is very safe for children.
A lift gives access to apartment so no struggling up and down stairs with luggage.
There are several excellent pubs/restaurants within easy walking distance. Nothing nicer than walking home along the beach after a night out.
Porth is also conveniently situated for visiting other parts of Cornwall.
Probably the best holiday let we have stayed and a beautiful part of Cornwall.
We shall definitely return.
