Nanpa is a large open plan 3 bedroom Villa, all bedrooms have new upgraded air conditioning units fitted in August 2010, bedrooms also have their own en-suite bathrooms and built in or walk in wardrobes.
Downstairs is open plan layout with granite Italian kitchen with spacious living/dining area.
Twin patio doors open onto rear patio which is made of coral stone and a beautiful swimming pool and sun-bathing area, lovely area to relax in peace and privacy.
New upgraded garden furniture has been added in Aug 09 making the rear pool area a truly inviting asset.
Ceiling fan added above outside dining table to improve outside dining experience!

One mobile phone (pay as you go) is provided for the use of guests. easy to top up in local supermarket.
The accommodation sleeps 6 in comfort but there are two spare mattress's that can be used for children to sleep on. Used by pulling out from under the bed.
There is no fixed internet access in the property but there are many free "open" networks to log onto if needed.
Please note: This property is rented out under the rules and laws as laid down by the government of Barbados.

Porters Gate is a gated community consisting of just 28 units, there is a communal swimming pool and tennis court and club house. in the coming months a gymnasium will be added to the upstairs of the club house.

Owners are big supporters of our Armed Forces and offer a genuine 15% discount on any booking, for UK and USA Armed Forces.
10% discount on general bookings taken 4 weeks before arrival.
Additional discount offered on any bookings over two weeks, ask for details.
Check out time is 12noon on day of departure, house available from 4pm on arrival date.
Conditions
20% deposit required to book property, remainder must be paid by 2 months before arrival.
Electricity and Breakages deposit. To prevent massive electricity bills (and to help the environment) the owner has introduced a "pay as you go" system to pay for electricity used. Elec and breakages deposit is £100 per week, balance fully refunded on return.
Very simple to use, guest will text owner a meter reading on arrival and departure and is then charged £25 per 100 units used.
Meter is very easy to read, digital on outside wall, this is non-profit simply covers cost of actual usage, introduced to prevent guests leaving air-conditioning on with windows open whilst out on the beach for the day!

Porters Gate area is just over 1 mile North of Holetown.
In Holetown you will find many good quality shops and restaurants, basically everything you will need will be found in Holetown, banks, shops, supermarkets, petrol stations etc.

We had a wonderful time in Barbados staying at the lovely Nanpa in December 2011. Booking was straightforward and the owners were very helpful throughout this process, helping with flights, car booking, recommendations for various things etc. The house itself has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the private pool area/garden is great - just what we needed with 2 young children. We found a fabulous stretch of beach just 5 minutes drive away (we would have walked if it had not been for the pushchair!) and loved Ramshackles - a lovely laid back bar/restaurant. Holetown (5 min drive) has everything you need to make your stay enjoyable - great supermarket, lots of shops, restaurants etc. We thought Nanpa was great and a fantastic base to explore Barbados from. We shall return. |
