The ground floor leads out to a beautiful patio, with outdoor dining and living area, complete with sofas and garden lounge chairs, and a small private pool. The modern Italian kitchen has every convenience: granite countertops, microwave, oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, pots, pans, dishes making it enjoyable to stay in for any meal. Relax in our lovely living room with A/C and ceiling fans, CABLE TV, LCD television, DVDs, books, and games for adults and children. Upstairs there's a master bedroom with king-size bed, balcony, and bathroom with a jacuzzi. The second bedroom has twin beds, which can be pushed together to make a king size, balcony, and a bathroom with a walk in shower. Every room has plenty of towels, beach towels, shampoo, soaps etc. You will feel right at home in this wonderful vacation house!

The master bedroom is furnished with original colonial furniture, including a four-poster canopy bed. The second bedroom has two single large beds (that can be joined together to form a king size bed). Both the bathrooms are very elegant with marble countertops, jacuzzi and shower. Both the bedrooms are very quiet and lead out to a balcony. The rooms have high timber vaulted ceilings, air conditioning and ceiling fans. There's plenty of towels (beach and pool towels included), soaps, shampoos, etc and there are hair dryers. Private electronic safe box.

Notes:

The living room is large and very well furnished with comfortable and designer furniture and ceilings fans. The Italian kitchen has plenty of plates, pans, glasses, tablecloths - for fantastic cooks and great meals.The patio has real sofas (not uncomfortable garden furniture!) and garden lounge chairs. Housekeeper included, comes once a week (available every day for an extra fee also as a chef).

This house is really CHILDREN FRIENDLY. You can find a special children's set with their own towels and crockery, changing set, highchair, floatings and toys.

For your children's safety, the two french doors downstairs (with the pool access) are protected by iron bars that can be totally opened and disappear, allowing the guests to have the breeze coming in the house

You can relax in your small private pool or in the communal area that has a large pool, private tennis court and Gym (under construction) : the property is provided with tennis rackets, snorkel equipment, beach umbrellas and chairs, cooler, toys. We will also give you a mobile phone for local calls. Special fares for car rental or beach sports. Enjoy!

The car is not necessary but recommended because the beach (600 mt) and the shops (less than a mile, 2 stops by bus) can be reached by foot: anyway Barbados is a fantastic island, with many beautiful beaches, a great capital town and a beautiful countryside so it would be worth it to try to tour around the entire island. Don't forget we're very close (less than half a mile) to the Folkstone Marine Reserve, the most important coral reef and snorkeling area in Barbados. In the nearby (between 1 and 2 miles) you can reach the best Golf Courses in the Island like Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane

30% deposit is payable with the booking. The balance is payable 6 weeks before arrival. A 300US$ security deposit is also required which will be returned IMMEDIATELY after your holiday but before the departure less any breakages / damages. Our maid will meet you on the last day of your holiday in order to check the house inventory with you and - if everything is well - she will immediately return the security deposit. To prevent massive electricity bills (and to help the environment) please note that electricity IS NOT included in the rental cost. The owner has introduced a 'pay as you go' system to pay for electricity used. Right outside the house there is a meter. The meter will be read on arrival and departure and then charged accordingly to the charges of the local company (trhough a bill system on line)This system is in use to deter guests from leaving the air conditioning on all day with the windows wide open whilst relaxing at the beach!!

Please note that the check out time on your day of departure is 12.00 noon.

•FREE MEET & GREET AT THE AIRPORT. Our manager Claudia will meet you at the airport to give you all the informations and you will meet them again at home to show it to you. She'll provide you with a mobile for all local calls (easy top up at fuel stations). You can call her during your stay for every question, help and advice. She can also book for you car, taxi, restaurants and trips on the Island

The Saint James Parish region

On the calm West coasts, you may walk for miles along unbroken white sand beaches, sometimes stopping at a cluster of coral rocks jutting out to sea. All along the shore large and small beaches are broken by coral formations, the soft coral rocks weathered by the ocean surf, forming abstract sculptures pleasing to an artist's eye.

Porters Gate Community is in the best area of Barbados. Located on the Platinum Coast, between the best Golf Courses: Sandy Lane and Royal Westmoreland, there are magnificent beaches on the Carribean Sea. You also have the nicest town on the Island - Holetown - less than a mile away with a great Mall (all the most important brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Bulgari, Ralph Lauren...) supermarket, banks, post office, 24hr medical service, bars, restaurants and duty free shops.

"Amazing, brilliantly appointed villa in one of the best locations in Barbados"

This villa was awsome. My wife and I and two kids (18 and 12) have just returned from a fantastic two weeks at this super villa.
The interior decorating has clearly been done by the owner in a most tasteful manner and is sumptuous. The entire villa is well appointed with nothing forgotten. The kitchen is a dream with everything one could require and more, not to mention the great American style fridge freezer with welcome water/ice dispenser.

The villa is located in a secure complex at an ideal location for reaching the best beaches on the island up and down the west coast, the nicer side of the island. The extensive shops, supermarket (with goodies from Waitrose) and a good range of restaurants in Holetown are a stone's throw away.

The private back garden has its own small plunge pool which was slightly cooler than the main pool in the complex and was welcome after a baking day on the beach to cool off before relaxing on the covered patio with a sundowner. For the more sporty there is an on site tennis court.

Besides the villa itself, the owner has provided beach towels,beach umbrella, cooler box (very useful for days on the beach), good snorkelling equipment for a family of 4 and tennis rackets and balls to enjoy a spot of tennis

The manager Claudia was so friendly and was a wealth of information - nothing was too much trouble.
We will definitely be returning in the future.
