The Mallorca/Majorca region
South West Mallorca enjoys a very good climate and is ideal for Winters away. The City of Palma has much to offer - beautiful Christmas decorations and fantastic New Year firework display. The Three Kings which is celebrated on 6th January also has a great firework display and carnival display when the kings arive by boat onto the Paseo Mallorca.
Portals Nous / Son Caliu area
Puerto Portals where the yachts of the rich and famous are moored has many good bars and restaurants which are open throughout the winter months. Son Caliu beach also has bars and restaurants which are open. The Hotel Son Caliu has a wonderful spa with indoor heated swimming pool all facilities can be used for a small daily fee 20€ per person. Buses are available nearby to take you round the island. There are also many markets to visit.
