Bring your own horses or we can provide them for you. We have both miniatures and full size horses available. (and miniature cattle, too) Easy access to the Coronado National Forest. Horse back riding has an additional fee.

The Arizona region

DD Gamble Guest Lodge sits nestled between the Peloncillo and Chiricahua Mountains. The lodge, located at the base of the historic Chiricahua Mountains, is just a short horse ride into Horseshoe Canyon. These mountains were the scene of numerous battles during the Indian wars from the 1860's to the 1890's. Two of the most famous Indian chiefs from that period were Cochise and Geronimo - both were Chiricahua Apaches.

June is the hottest month of the year with temperatures ranging into the low 100's (38 Celsius). Late June, early July brings our rainy season. The rainy season brings the temperatures down to mid 80's to the low 90's (32 - 35 Celsius). July and August each average 2.3 inches (5.8 cm). January is the coldest month with an average high temperature of 57 (14 Celsius) and an average low of 30 degrees (-1 Celsius).
