Tree Tops is a self-catering cottage set in two acres of secluded gardens overlooking the picturesque Cornish village of Port Navas on the Helford River. The cottage comprises two bedrooms, each with two single-beds and an electrically-operated airbed, a well-appointed kitchen including a pantry and scullery, and a bathroom. The cosy sitting room has a wonderful view of the village and creek. All accommodation is on one level.
The large garden is a private, peaceful escape from the world. Great for barbecues, games on the old tennis court, or just sitting around with the family and a picnic, admiring the wonderful view of the valley and Helford River. As it is elevated above the village lane, it is a safe playground for children and pets.
Port Navas Yacht Club, which has a bar and restaurant, is a five minute walk away.
Guests can visit the many nearby attractions of South Cornwall, such as Falmouth, Helston, Lands End and the villages and coves on the Lizard Peninsula. Boats can be hired locally to explore the creeks, beaches and pubs on the Helford River. Owners of dinghies can keep them at Tree Tops and launch them from the nearby slipway, or rent a pontoon space from the Port Navas Yacht Club.
There are so many places to visit on land and on water that guests will never run out of new excursions to enjoy each day of their stay. With its beautiful gardens set back from and above the village, stunning views and short walk to the Yacht Club, Tree Tops is the ideal venue for your holiday.

The Cornwall region
Cornwall is the most south-westerly county in England. This part of Cornwall is on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula, and as such is largely sheltered from the prevailing Atlantic weather systems. The result is a beautiful, verdant coastline and lush interior.
The Lizard Peninsula contains beautiful coves and villages including St Anthony, Coverack, Cadgwith, Mullion, Kynance and Gunwalloe amongst many others. Slightly further away are Lizard Point, England's most southerly point, and Lands End.
Port Navas is a small, quiet village located beside a creek which is part of the Helford River. These days it has few amenities of its own, but a full range of services is less than two miles away at Constantine. The Port Navas Yacht Club, which includes a bar and restaurant, is five minutes walk from the cottage. The nearest beach is at Helford Passage, about 10 minutes drive away. There is a pub here which serves food, and a ferry service to Helford Village on the other side of the river. Larger sandy beaches can be found at Maenporth and Swanpool towards Falmouth. Beaches more suited to surfing are on the North coast, such as Portreath.
The nearest golf course is at Budock Vean Golf & Country Club Hotel, which is about 10 minutes drive away. Other fairly close courses are at Falmouth, Helston and Mullion, all about 20 minutes drive away.

We had excellent service from the owner ,he was very helpful in all aspects of the booking and enquiries we made. Tree Tops had everything we needed for our stay. We found it very peaceful and tranquil with only the sound of the Owls hooting to each other of a night when going to sleep it was lovely. We brought Bria the German wire haired pointer and Molly the Otterhound with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the big open space behind the cottage to roam and scent around. There was plenty room to erect their cages in the hall so they felt settled and at home. The views from Tree Tops looking down into Port Navas are beautiful . There are plenty of places to go to for a drink and something to eat , The Yacht Club serves excellent food and local ale and is only 5 mins walk from the cottage. There is also an award winning Inn at Nancenoy,Constantine who do lovely meals and are very busy. And that's just a 10 min drive up the road. It's also well worth a visit to Helford Passage which has a good pub and food. We found that talking to the locals was a beneficial way of finding all the good places to go to and experience . There are many gardens to explore nearby and are all dog friendly as is nearly everywhere in Cornwall we found. Always plenty water bowls out for thirsty dogs. Tree tops was central for us for going out for the day and we only touched the tip of the iceberg as far as places to see. If needing supplies for our stay we always passed a village shop or farm shop on our way back. We loved the peace and serenity of Tree Tops and have fallen in love with the cottage and Port Navas and the friendly Cornish people. It was well worth the drive down from Cumbria. We will be most defiantly be making a return visit in the future for another wonderful holiday at Tree Tops. Many thanks to the owner of Tree Tops for letting us have a fantastic holiday in their family cottage.

"Idyllic , tranquil get-away-from-it-all holiday."
The location of this property is perfect to explore all that Cornwall has to offer, or, just to stay and relax at the cottage and it's grounds. The cottage is rustic but that is part of it's charm. There is everything there to make your stay comfortable and I felt that the owners were exceptionally helpful and wanted to ensure you had everything you need to have a lovely stay. We have two boys and the gardens are amazing to explore, play games (football, cricket, rounders the list is endless, we had so much fun). we were lucky with the weather - yes we had SUN - and we really enjoyed just chilling at the cottage. The crabbing is excellent down at the waterfront, we also popped to the Yacht Club a couple of times and the owners were very welcoming and friendly. We lit the fire in the evenings and found all the furniture comfortable. This is a little piece of heaven for a true get away from it holiday and would return in a heart beat. We were very sad to leave.

"Lovely spot, great walking, amazing views and characterful house."
We spent a lovely three days here. The house is situated in a picturesque little village tucked away in the Helford estuary surrounded by great walks beautiful scenery and some nice little pubs. All in all a great place whether as a couple or a family I highly recommend Treetops as a place to go and relax and feel as if you are a million miles away from the stresses of everyday life.

"Unspoilt Cornish tranquility, with acres of space for the children, and within easy reach of local shops, pubs and towns"
We took a short break here with young children and close family. The cottage is very quaint with all the facilities required by a family. It was warm and cosy inside, with a garden tothat seemed to extend for miles! The children could run around on the vast expase of grass in a safe environment. A short walk down to the estuary slipway and local yacht club, with many local pubs serving great food within a short distance. We have been to Cornwall many times, usually finding ourselves in the busy towns. This is a lot quieter, mayby because it was out of season? Will definitely be booking it again next year. Loved it!!

Tree Tops is placed in an ideallic spot with lovely gardens which my dog appreciated too. We had our kayaks with us and it was so easy just to pop them into the river via the public slipway. We had great views of the creek from the house. Inside, the house had all the amenities required but i felt that a proper shower would have made our lives a bit easier. The beds, sofa and arm chairs were not very comfortable. I felt that the whole house needed updating from the 1950s! Overall we had a great holiday in a fantastic location.

"A Hidden Gem"
Have been coming back every year because my chilldren demand it and not least because Treetops can't be beaten for price and for what it delivers- a private setting in wonderful grounds and only 100 yards to Navas creek where dinghies and kayaks can be launched to explore the magical Helford. Cornish weather is variable but the cosy woodburner ensures every days ends well. Trebah and Glendurgan gardens nearby and great walks start from the front door. A bustling Falmouth only 20 mins away. Best of all, a holiday without Buster, our collie, is not a familly holiday and he's never happier than when he is at Treetops

"Secluded relaxation in a beautiful setting"
We came back for a second helping after last years introduction to Treetopos and were not disappointed in this secret retreat. It combines privacy, loads of garden space that would suit kids with energy to burn and a sense of 'Swallows and Amazons' and of course a tremendous view down to Port Navas Creek (try stepping outside with a cup of tea on a sunny morning and not feel that all is right with the as you gaze at the vista). The house has period character, is well maintained and freshly decorated and easily becomes a cozy lodge if the weather is foul (woodburner with plentiful logs supplied). If you have or have considered getting a kayak then bring it with you to get the benefit of the the other hidden secret of this location, the view form the water. The small, down to earth and friendly Port Navas Yacht Club (visitors welcome) is well worth a visit for 'sundowners' and beyond and only a short walk away.

"Relaxing week in idyllic setting"
Enjoyed the tranquil location of this period property. The local Port Navas residents were extremely friendly and helpful making the holiday even more memorable. The atmosphere of the village centres around the rhythm of the tides.

"A unique and delightful property in a lovely location - wonderful."
Treetops is very special. It has a unique character and personality which only a property with such history can have. The location overlooking Port Navas creek and towards the Helford River is stunning and exudes peace and calm. The owner is a mine of information and most helpful with any questions on local facilities, services etc. There is also a very comprehensive Visitor Guide. Booking is simple, rates are competitive being all inclusive, finding the property is relatively easy and access is excellent. Facilities in the house are exactly as stated and are quite sufficient for general catering and day to day living. Do not expect state of the art interiors and fittings - this is a house with warmth and friendliness in all the rooms. It is a house which has been lived in and is for living in. A classic English holiday home! Go and enjoy as soon as you can!
