Located only 100 metres from miles of beautiful sandy beach, the ground floor apartment is a perfect base for a young family seeking a sunshine beach holiday. A communal pool is available during high season. The picturesque marina area is an easy stroll and offers all amenities and many restaurants, bars and shops. The larger resorts of Canet and Argeles are a short driving distance. The area offers easy access to the Fitou and Corbieres wine regions and the Pyrenees are an hour's drive. There is plenty to see and do during your stay. Port Leucate also has an Aqualand Water Fun Park. Beach amenities available at Port Leucate in peak season.

The Languedoc-Roussillon / Aude region

Port Leucate is in the region of Languedoc-Rousillon in the department of Aude. It borders on the Pyrenees-Orientales region. The area is well known for its wine and there are many vineyards and caves for wine tasting. The Aude region has much history to explore including the mountain-top cathar castles and the mediaeval walled city of Carcassonne. It takes about 40 mins to drive into Spain and approx 2 hours to get to Barcelona. The Pyrenees mountains can be reached by car in less than an hour's drive.

Port Leucate area

Port Leucate is a small port in South West France, with the Meditteranean Sea on one side and a lake with mountains in the background on the other.
It is a lively holiday resort during the summer months and throughout the year offers an ideal base to explore and discover the surrounding region.
Port Leucate has a picturesque centre with a marina (boat hire available
locally) and there are many bars, restaurants and shops open in high season.
There are supermarkets and a petrol station. The sandy beach stretches for miles. The area is best known for wind surfing on the Leucate Etang.

How to get there

Ryanair fly to Perpignan, Carcassone and Girona airports.
* Perpignan airport - 20 mins approx by car.
* Carcassonne and Girona airports both 50 mins approx by car.
Car hire recommended and available from airports listed above.
Taxi and bus service also available from Perpignan airport.
Private airport collection can be arranged for an extra charge.
