The West Country region

The Atlantic coast of Cornwall stretches for over seventy miles along a wildly beautiful landscape where towns and villages huddle in the cliffs for protection against the sea. A renowned hub for thrill seekers who get active in and out of the water, the mile wide bays are popular with the nation's surfers and family's alike. With fabulous accommodation and celebrity endorsed eateries transforming the coast into top class destinations, North Cornwall magically combines the hip and trendy with absolutely stunning natural scenery.

You'll find: surf spots, sensational beaches, spectacular coastline, dramatic cliffs, sandy bays, cliff top walks, The Camel Trail, Tintagel Castle.

Port Isaac

Pendoggett is a very small village overlooking the coast and the famous fishing village of Port Isaac, just over a mile away. It is also within 5 miles of the surfing beaches Polzeath and Trebarwith, with great waves throughout the year. The sea even warms up to 18 C in August and September.

It's a walkers paradise with close and easy access to the Coastal Path, just over a mile away. You can even walk to the Coastal Path directly from the pub, just yards away from the cottage. But, if you were looking for a day away from the coast, Pendoggett is a short drive away from the market town of Camelford, where there is access to Bodmin Moor and endless walking trails.

Again the picturesque Cornish Market town of Wadebridge is within a short 10 minute drive, where there are lots of great local shops and a large supermarket, as well as access to the Camel Cycling Trail, where you can cycle to the popular harbour town of Padstow. Wadebridge also hosts the Cornish International Folk Festival over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, with live music on the streets and in the cafes and pubs around the town.

Cornwall has a temperate climate and the mildest and sunniest weather in the United Kingdom as a result of its southerly latitude and the influence of the Gulf Stream.
