Lundy cottage has retained much of its old world charm, with an open fire, slate floors, and window seats where you can watch the world go by or look out at the harbour. We have "sea glimpses" rather than full sea views, but the sound of the sea can be heard throughout the cottage!

Downstairs there is a well equiped galley kitchen, lounge and dining area. Upstairs we have three small bedrooms, two doubles and one small single and one very quaint bathroom. We recommend the cottage for 4 people, but are happy to take 5 if the extra person is a baby or small child. We do not have any outside space, but with the harbour down a short alley way just across the road.

Lundy Cottage is an excellent base for your holiday in Cornwall. Port Isaac is beautiful and the village itself has much to offer, beautiful walking along the cliffs, excellent restaurants and tea shops, a fishmongers and bakery. The highly rated Golden Lion is just over the street and sells seafood landed in Port Isaac harbour, so the next meal is never far away. Port Isaac comes to life during the summer months with concerts on the Platt (the harbour) on Thursday nights you can hear the St Breward Brass Band and join them for a Floral dance through the village, on Fridays if you are lucky you can hear the now famous "Fisherman's Friends" singing their sea shanties as the sun sets over Lobber Point - this is a highlight of many visitor's stay.

There are excellent beaches nearby, Polzeath and Daymer bay are very popular with good opportunities for surfing, horseriding, golf and a wealth of other activities.

For families we provide cot, high chair, books and toys. Children love visiting the Port Isaac lifeboat station (open everyday) and visiting the largest lobster in the world in Port Isaac's quirky acquarium.

Further afield are the towns of Wadebridge, Padstow, Tintagel, and about 40mins away is the Eden Project.

The Cornwall region

Port Isaac is on the North Coast of Cornwall and is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt villages in Cornwall. It is a living fishing port nestled amongst part of the most fabulous coatline in the British Isles. It's situation in the south of the UK means that it experiences some of the best weather in the country. This coupled with stunning scenery and a wealth of cultural and sporting activities is probably why so many people choose to holiday in the region.

Port Isaac

The village has several top restaurants that serve freshly prepared food using some of the counties best local ingredients. During the peak season they are often full so it always pays to book ahead to avoid disappointment. The village is on the coast path, as is Lundy Cottage making access to the incredible cliff paths as easy as stepping out of the front door. For the more sporting visitors there are several golf courses, a huge selection surfing beaches, sailing, cycling to name a few all within a short car ride.

"Great location with beautiful views at your doorstep"

Dear Neal,

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad that you enjoyed the stunning scenery around Port Isaac and the close proximity to the harbour. Spring is a great time to visit North Cornwall as the cliff paths and all the wild flowers are at their best. Our apologies about the towels. We provide bed linen and cleaning inclusive in our prices, but towels are usually extra, as you were coming from a long way away we included towels for you. I thought we had let you know in an email, but we accept your feedback that this should have been changed on your booking form. We always value feedback and will make sure this is put right for future guests. Thank you for writing a review, it is always good to know that guests have enjoyed their experience at Lundy Cottage.
