Tregudda is a house split into two 4 bed apartments. Facing South, both apartments benefit from stunning sea views from most of the rooms. Upper Tregudda features a south, sea-facing hardwood and glass balcony with spectacular panoramic sea views from all of the windows. Rated 4 * GOLD by Visit England.

Both apartments have a large bright living room leading to a fully equipped kitchen/dining room in Lower Tregudda and separate dining room in Upper Tregudda. A balcony wraps around the front of this apartment with sun loungers and garden furniture from which it is possible to look out onto Port Isaac bay and headlands over a glass of breakfast orange juice. Access from the living room, dining room and master bedroom (with king size bed and en suite shower room) is via French doors, makes this balcony a prominent extension of the building, - great on a summers evening for watching the sun setting over the sea, especially in the summer.

In Lower Tregudda, the Living Room and Master Bedroom have French Doors leading out to the private patio and you can lie in bed and look directly out to sea - equally stunning on a bright sunny morning, or watching the winter storms crashing over the cliffs.

The bedrooms and bathrooms (one en-suite) branch off a carpeted corridor leading from these communal areas and all provide a relaxing and private space away from the activity of the main living areas. Parking is available immediately outside the property.

The Cornish Coastal Path leads up the back of the property and brings you out on the top of the hill giving access to the dramatic headlands and makes for a perfect evening stroll. Alternatively our local pub and restaurant with a garden and bustling atmosphere is only at the bottom of the hill, alternatively you can have bar meals delivered directly to your door.

Tregudda is located a stone's throw from the picturesque and unspoilt National Trust cove at Port Gaverne which is perfect for swimming and rock pooling. OS maps of the local area are available - enjoy amazing walks along the coastal path just meters from your door towards either Port Isaac or Tintagel, or venture further afield to Daymer Bay, the popular surfing beach at Polzeath, cycle or walk the Camel Trail or visit Padstow.

Newspapers/milk can be delivered. Body boards, fishing nets & croquet set available for guests use. Surf boards and kayaks also available to borrow (the owner cannot accept any responsibility for any injuries sustained).

Tregudda is ideal for a family holiday or short break and both apartments can also be booked together, sleeping a total of 8 in each apartment., making it perfect for groups of family and friends holidaying together for either a special occasion, or simply to spend time together.

Access to Upper Treugga is via a number of concrete steps which turn a corner half way up. Access to Lower Tregudda is up a step onto the patio. Parking for both apartments is in the driveway outside the property. The garden is a level grassed area to the front of the property looking directly out to sea and drops steeply away at the end of the garden. There is some fencing at the end of the garden but there is a pathway and steps leading directly down to the road which are down a steep slope. Access with a car is up a very steep and narrow slope (to the left of the Port Gaverne Hotel). The driveway is adjacent to the garden with no fencing between. There is good external lighting which is activated by movement sensor at night.

The West Country region

Beautiful and unspoilt North Cornwall - 60 miles of dramatic Atlantic Heritage Coast - cliffs, coves, market towns, farmsteads and enchanting Bodmin Moor. Country Houses and Historic castles including King Arthur's Tintagel - From Bude to Bedruthan there's golf, walking, cycling, surfing and events for all the family all year round.

Port Isaac

Port Gaverne Cove with its sheltered sand and pebble beach - ideal for swimming and exploring rock pools. National Trust owned and run. Perfect for families. Bring your wellies. We provide the fishing nets!

Within less than a minute, you are on the North Cornish Coastal Path - miles of spectacular National Trust owned coastline, famous for its wildlife and scenic beauty.

Directly opposite Venus Cottage and just down the hill from Tregudda, is our local, The Port Gaverne Hotel, an early 17th Century Inn. The restaurant specialises in local produce, particularly sea-food. The comprehensive bar menu is available to guests - delivered to your door

Half a mile up the road is picturesque Port Isaac - a charming fishing village, where Doc Martin is filmed, and home to the folk singers "The Fishermen's Friends". Explore the pottery, art galleries and restaurants or visit the inshore RNLI lifeboat station. The maroons are frequently sent up during the year, and you can watch the lifeboat being launched. Port Isaac is still very much a working fishing village with catches landed and sold each day. You can buy Cornish pasties baked fresh each day in the local bakery and discover Squeezy Belly Alley and many other delightful back streets. During the summer, there is entertainment on The Platt, including the Port Isaac Singers and the St. Breward Brass Band.

Other events include the Floral Dance, the Port Isaac Regatta, Lifeboat Larks, and the annual Raft Race.

"Outstanding setting for a holiday in Cornwall"

Upper Tregudda part of the Green Door cottages has ample space for guests up to 8 , outstanding views of Port Gaverne beach from the apartment with the Port Gaverne pub and restaurant very close by.Nearby Port Isaac has plenty of shops , cafes and restaurants famous for is location for "Doc Martin" t.v series. At bottom of driveway to apartment you can take the coastal path or bus to surrounding areas in North Cornwall.Apartment immaculately clean on arrival and has good facilities i.e washing machine, tumble drier.and dishwasher.T.V D.V.D available but views from windows /balcony was our view of choice for our fortnights stay.We hope to return

"Gorgeous cottage, wonderful weekend"

We stayed here with a group of 6 adults and 1 toddler just under 2. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. It helped that there were 4 bathrooms for the 4 bedrooms and it was very comfortable! Perfect for a weekend away in Cornwall. I cannot recommend the area, Port Gavernne highly enough and it was great to have the lovely pub at the bottom of the hill (can highly recommend for dinner). Nothing was too much trouble, it was great value for money and we even managed to get a babysitter organised for us. And the views/sunsets were amazing!

Couple of comments if you're travelling with children - the garden has a really steep drop in it and dangerous steps down to the road which was a real shame as we couldn't really let our son run around outside much... it would be really good if there was a bit more of a garden area and a bit of a walled or fenced off area that wasn't so dangerous! Also, the hill up to the property is exceptionally steep and, while our smaller car was fine as long as we raced up it, my father in laws car was much more challenging to get up - make sure you arrange to park in the pub car park! All in all a lovely stay, was just a shame about the garden area.....

Many thanks for taking the time to review Tregudda and glad you had a great holiday. Your comments about the garden area are helpful. With plenty of space in the garden, fencing off an area which is safe for children is a great idea!

"What a view! What a great stay!"

A large house, ideal for a group travelling together with plenty of living space and is well equipped. The outside space is fantastic with a breath taking view. The only thing to consider is the steep climb which wouldn't be ideal for pushchairs or anyone disabled. I had a brilliant stay and would love to return later in the year to take advantage of dinner al fresco watching the sea lap on Port Gaverne beach, lovely!

Thank you for taking the time to send in the review - so glad you enjoyed your stay in Tregudda and we hope to welcome you back to the Green Door Cottages in the future.
