Our beautiful 2 bedroom fully self contained family friendly unit has had a new 2014 refurbishment new bedrunners, cushions, Newly covered Sofas, all soft furnishings and lamp shades are new, and the unit is looking great, an open plan lounge fully equipted kitchen NEW LARGE FRIDGE EARLY 2014 central Bathroom with a bath the unit is spotless we have the master with a queens size bed and in the 2nd bedroom it can be set up as one king or 2 king singles, the lounge and master bed have access to a private balcony overlooking the lovely sparkling blue pool with a heated large spa. Our fully self contained unit with everything you need, fully supplied with all the linen and fresh white towels all supplied no extra charge, also beach towel, I have my own house keeper and she keeps the unit in tiptop condition, We also have a stock of tea, coffee, spices, sauces, soaps, toilet paper, lots of things to get you settled in. The Kitchen is also well stocked with all cooking needs toaster, kettle,coffee machine, microwave, elec hotplates, pots and pans all sizes, draws full of handy and useful things that make your stay all the comforts of home, lots of glasses and plastic things for the Free BBQ (so not having to worry about breaking on the terracotta tiles etc ) You will feel at home we just ask you please leave the place clean and tidy and replace or add to our supplies on departure, feel free to use anything in the unit, I have a new stroller in the 2nd wardrobe also a vacume and a dustbuster, and lots of odds and ends also a DVD player even a VHS and some books and mags
We have 3 new air cons and a new TV also connected to Austar pay TV our TV is on a lazy susan so you can watch it in the master bedroom there is also a 2nd smaller TV for the bedroom ... the balcony is very safe and private our unit is the most private unit in the resort.. we have onsite managers although we are independent of them, we are not in the letting pool and just holiday let our unit to pay the necessary bills council rates and body corps, although you do have full access to anything on the resort. and the reception does have an extensive collection of brochures and booklets for tours etc and all tours will pick you up and deliver you at our front door.If you arrive in your own car or hire car there is either parking undercover, underneath in our front building, or at the rear, also laundry faciality underneath fully coin operated washing and drying machines along with the parking.. we have an internal stair case going up to our unit. the unit is on level 1 the best location in the resort, Overlooking the sparkling blue pool and heated spa free bbq area and gazevo all within an easy walk to the beach one street back from famous 4 mile beach. with lots of different walk through.. tracks some concrete pathways others are sand and also a timber broadwalk.. all for you to explore ..

A 55 minutes coastal drive North of Cairns International Airport..most spectacular drive anywhere to be found ..best to arrive in the day time so you can view the beautiful ocean views .. where the Daintree meets the Great Barrier Reef both a must to see and must do .... Port Douglas is now listed as one of the best 10 places to visit in the world ..our unit is in the Golden triangle of Port Douglas walk to everything .. enjoy a trip to the Great Barrier Reef is a must please allow enough time to explore what we have to offer .. the only regret most people have is they didnt realise there was so much to see and do and also you need a little time to recharge your batteries we find 10 days is the best you still need to walk the most famous four mile beach .. we do every day and then there is the walks to the lookouts its endless, enjoy
Tropical average weather days 24 c and evenings 16 c beautiful good months to visit are May June is fantastic and July August is great also September October locals love November then December is starting to get humid and January Feburary is the month the local visit South and we should get some rain two season dry and wet ... come enjoy and tell us what month you love..

"Frustration with mixed message regarding on site assistance"
Since property is not part of on site management you definitely feel a bit shunned!! You receive no assistance on site.
The general property is fair, but the communal cooking needs some cleaning.
Pool area nice. Appears to cater to families w kids so be aware.
Unit was fair, space tight and although shutter doors nice they offer no privacy. The unit needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Overhead fans were filthy..odor in apt upon arrival(curry). Minimal supplies such as toilet paper, bath towels. Closets in bedrooms just filled w stuff..no room to use second bedroom closet at all.
Location from town described as 8 min walk, give yourself 20. So that said you will be walking back and fort a lot
Wifi internet you pay for no courtesy.
Biggest issue was lack of phone in unit( we are not from Au so cell not usable) on 2 separate occasions messages were not received because on site management would not assist with leaving messages since owner not part of offered property management. Kudos to the tour / car co.(port douglas motel)They actually came and left message under our door!!!
I believe the lack of on site property management only benefits the owner who saves money. The person renting gains nothing but frustration! At this site 90-95% use service of property management, so you feel the difference immediately when arriving. Due to these issues it put a damper on things. So No, I would not recommend this unit, just to much work for us. Btw we were mom with 2 adult(late 20's) kids, traveling throughout Au and nz. Stayed in about 14 locations and this rated 3 from the bottom

1 hour north of cairns this little gem no20 in a great location for all amenities, a wonderful beach, secure parking, a clean 2 bedroom, spacious apartment was perfect for visiting Port Douglas… More
