Mr Barry's White House
House | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Mr Barry's sits neatly on a Hill in Port Antonio. unfinished but liveable and perfect for those couples who like an adventure.
local attractions are plenty as we are just a short walk from Boston Bay or the world famous jerk centre, a little further down the road is winnifred beach and a bit further on you have the world famous Blue Lagoon and Frenchmans Cove. These are just a few of the natural wonders you can find in the area.
Mr Barry's White House is in a quiet part of the Island and the locals are very warm and welcoming, there are plenty of places to find food or you could enlist the services of a local cook while you are there, there is a local supermarket or you could drive into town and visit the local market where you will find the finest and freshest fruit and veg, as well as a plethora of shops.
Whilst Mr Barry's White House is under construction the rooms are at a reduced rate, we do have wifi but no running hot water, but we do have electricity and gas so if you don't mind a bit of the rough with the smooth this is a perfect location for you.

"Nice hideaway from everyone, Love it."

As a Jamaican descendent, I have been a regular visitor to Jamaica, for over 20 years, however my stay at Harmony Heights, was in fact the most relaxing stress free, and truely Irie (no problem) stay I have ever experienced while in Jamaica. I felt as if I was home from home, I was traveling with my teenage daughter, we were safe comfortable and our belongings secure, all of which were priority. The Local area has a relaxed, welcoming and friendly ambiance, the local beaches are in walking distance and are all distinctively unique, there are local shops and eateries. If you are seeking retreat or sanctuary this is the place to be, with the best of everything, near enough to the local town, beautiful panoramic views, nestled in the lush foliage of Fairy Hill, which did occasionally boast some rare sightings of local birdlife. The facilitator at Harmony Heights is called "Head" he is always at hand to assist if needs be. Authentic Jamaican meals can be provided for a reasonable charge, which was great because we had a daily choice of self catering or not. The Kitchen and all amenities are sufficient.

"Couldn't take my eyes off the view"
I dont normally write reviews but thought this place deserved one so here goes.
We were told about harmony heights through a friend who explained to us that the place was still under construction but if you didn't need all the comforts of home was a perfect place to get away.
As it was our first time in Jamaica we were a bit nervous about having to travel 2 hours by road from kingston but for an extra charge a driver from harmony heights met us on arrival. When we arrived to the house all I can say is that it took our breath away and the view from the veranda was different class.
The area was a bit off the beaten track but close to some of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen.
Service at the house was good and a friendly welcoming atmosphere all the while, there wasn't any wifi but that wasn't a bad thing as it meant we wasn't stuck to our laptops all day and night. Also there wasn't any hot water but the sun in the day kept the water nice for a shower or 2, the area had loads of places to eat but we preferred to take a taxi into town to the supermarket and cook for ourselves in the kitchen. Every morning we had a choice of fruit and cereal, toast , eggs or Head's delicious coconut cornmeal porridge.
On the whole we got to stay in a beautiful house in a beautiful country for a beautiful price.
Was a pleasure to have you stay Dellis, you're welcome to come again anytime. One Love..
