Home description

'El Tancat del Pi' is a very attractive stone faced finca only 3km from the market town of Algaida. It has tiled floors throughout, thick original walls and covered terraces around three sides keep the house naturally cool in the summer.

An abundance of bougainvilleas, palm, fig and almond trees add fabulous colour to the maintained garden. The valley is designated a 'protected region' by the Mallorquin government and subsequently labelled as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Ideal for families or up to 4 couples.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

This area of Mallorca is very rural, very traditional and stunningly beautiful. The original capital of Mallorca was Sineu approx 20 mins drive from the house.

This has a famous livestock market every Wednesday, well worth a visit. There is a mix of rolling countryside around Algaida with the central plain to the north and another plain to the south as you approach Llucmajor.


Porreres / Algaida area

Algaida (3km) is a very traditional Mallorquin market town untouched by tourism, with plenty of cafes & bars around the main square. There are numerous excellent restaurants only 5 mins drive of the house, all are priced at 'locals' rates. In Algaida you will find 3 supermarkets, 2 patisseries, a butcher, post office and four banks. Market day is every Friday.

Llucmajor is a larger town approx 7km from the house. This has larger supermarkets and a wonderful Sunday market in the main square.

Son Antem Marriot Hotel has a wonderful spa, gym, tennis courts and a championship golf course.

Mallorca is well served by numerous low budget airlines from most regional UK airports.
Upon arrival at Palma airport we are only 20 mins drive via the new Palma to Manacor motorway.
Directions and maps will be e-mailed to guests 8 weeks prior to arrival.

15,000sqm of land with Almond, Fig, Palm, Olive & Carrob trees. Suitable for children of all ages, there is a wicket gate which can separate the covered terraces from the pool area.

Bookings in peak season are for a minimum of one week.

Changeover days are usually on Saturdays, arrivals after 3pm, departures by 10am.

25% deposit on booking, balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival.

A rental agreement will be e-mailed immediately to secure reservation.
