"Great location & a lovely place to stay."
We stayed at Wisteria for a winter walking break. Allerford is a great base as it is possible to walk to Dunkery Beacon, Porlock and Selworthy Beacon without using the car and everywhere else is but a short car ride away. Also there is the Allerford Club?! Wisteria is adjacent to the river - the whole area is natural (sound of running water) and with character. The hosts are warm and friendly and the accomodation is very comfortable with everything we needed. We would thoroughly recommend without hesitation and will be back again ourselves for certain.

"A little peace of heaven on the edge of Exmoor"
The Packhorse is a little gem nestled in the Exmoor countryside. We have visited several times and will be back in October. Linda & Brian are wonderful hosts. Linda's knowledge of the area, (with little bits of history thrown in) and the many walks, straight from the cottages are invaluable. All of their cottages/apartments are furnished to the highest standard. The attention to detail, from the lighting to the bedding (we sleep so well) is lovely. We stayed in Bridge View with our two dogs. The views from almost every window are amazing. All in all if you are looking for a great place to stay, peace and quiet, stunning scenery and love walking then this is the place for you.
